Here is a thought of creation. A v20 fixie with one of these on the rear wheel. You would probably want a full facial helmet to go with it plus a bit of body armor.

I am quite simply stunned. Just back from Paris. Walked for days on end. So many monuments. No recumbent. Lots of cobblestone road. There seems to be a new elite that like to bike on a fixie without a helmet with wafer thin carbon wheels. The traffic is crazy too. Quite surprised. But now I...
The article is "Moose Pocket". The original to what I referred to has been delisted but there is an even better example written on this post.

There is only one winner the rest are failures.
You only win in life from learning from your failures. There was a sports psychology book I was recommended in reading on one of these forums.
I will try to find it when I get back from Paris.
Now you got into clips... you can try one foot cycling. You can use the other for balance. This is "The stay out of jail" card. It's saved me many times. You might have a puncture... you might be going slow behind a car. Use it whenever you are unsure and not stable.
There is a mega coastal road in Andalucia and will certainly haul my Vendetta to try that. Its awsome. You feel kind of funny just looking over the cliff.
Imagine going down that at 80kph. It would be a lifetime experience for sure.

Oh my.... now I don't even need to heat the wax! (I will though because I bought enough wax to last me years. But this stuff below looks really cool)

I wonder what his heart rate is... let's see if posted on strava 158bpm average topping at 167 so it certainly wasn't a walk in the park. Great effort. I love how Larry put that bike together too. :cruzbike::cruzbike::cruzbike::rolleyes:
Congrats. Guess you can do it again with the Giro MIPS Vanquish and beat your old record. Apparently it's ventilation is better and doesn't fog up. I read your write up too. It's quite a team effort to take that record so congrats to your crew.
That's a great video. In the past two years I have come off the bike 3 times. So it's good to have safety as a first even if it's going to cost a premium.
I know... I have on my mtb but not on my road. I am blessed with dry weather and the thought of the fiddly changeover isn't quite my ambition.
I have an injury and resting up. Otherwise I get tendonitis and then it's really irritating. I still have some flat Strava segments to battle out so...
Tririg omega x brake. I have it too and it's brilliant. It uses magnets to hold the front facia plate on.

It's so good that I haven't gone with hydraulic disc brakes yet.
Giro Vanquish claims speed increases without ventilation sacrifice

Looks good. Might ditch the Giro Attack Air. It's supposed to be 7% better aerodynamics. However the selling pitch to me is it's ventilation.
The Giro Vanquish is on sale from December (unless you are a...
