What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Shouldn't it sit on the brake surface? I was looking at the Velospeeder from Velogical to get some help on hills. But I would mount it on the rear.

    It's Mallet Season

having some experience with rare earth magnets, I hope they have a good corosion protection. Normally they come nickel plated, but the plating has tendency to crack and peel off. I recommend to seal them against humidity with a grease or silicon layer.

Something new - rather old - or (has Larry gone back to the DARK SIDE)

Round tubes are ideal for the boom/slider assembly. I wouldn't try to calculate something because of the rather complicated force-vectors. I guesstimate that the boom could have a thinner wall. Shorten the boom is much easier, and some destructive load testing would be the method to find the limit.

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

Aluminium is prone to fatigue cracking. Would be nice if the BB connexion were redesigned (not clamping on the bearing housing)

Do you ride a Cruzbike as part of recovery after a stroke or heart attack?

I did some inquiry for electric assist (Omni-Wheel). Here the info I got from John O'Donnell at EVELO.com: The Cruz bike is a great platform for the Omni. Honestly, it's probably the best fit out there even compared to conventional bikes since it puts the disc wheel in the back--so handling is...

Do you ride a Cruzbike as part of recovery after a stroke or heart attack?

back in dec. 2001, 56 y.o. workaholic, no physical activity, I ran into a hearth attack. Followed a couple of months to reconfigure my life style, gym 3 times a week and some occasionnel cycling on a DF. After my professional retirement in 2011 I joined a local Cycling club. Rapidely my back...

    Daydreaming of upgrades

I tried helmet mount mirrors, Zéfal Spy mirrors and ended up with a Rearviz mirror (https://www.rearviz.com/) On my Silvio with bullhorn bars the Zéfal mirrors are not high enough, so I was looking at my shoulders. On the Vendetta with the more inclined position Zéfals seem to work well. I'm...

    Headrest to seat clamp

Back in march 2014 I've got 4 of them. But you dont need them, the velcros are strong enough. This year I installed a Thor seat with an Adem headrest, and I'm still able to lift the bike by the seat (only held with the velcros). Maybe one day I'm going to add a ty-rap.
