6-12-24 World TT Championships, Report from Borrego Springs: brief

I read Strasser's detailed race report (in german) He speaks of a strong head group of 4 roadies, there is not a single word of a recumbent.

    Cruzbike on indoor rollers.

That's exacly what I'm used too. But I will try it with the front wheel no the single roller just to see how it feels.

    Cruzbike on indoor rollers.

they are less expensive and help maintaining your balance skills. For performance training your are better with a Kickr.

    Cruzbike on indoor rollers.

I'm starting the third winter indoor training. My question is which is the correct position of a Cruzbike on rollers? a) or b)

    Took The Plunge (figureatively)

Kneedrachen, I remember having had some contacts with you on a trike forum. I did the ''plunge'' 3 years ago. I'm really happy with my Silvio 2.1. Start with the stock equipment. Once you are up and safely riding you can think about some tweaks and upgrades. Have a close look at ''ratz's''...

    Kickstand for Silvio and Vendetta

it won't work on the front wheel. It has to be mounted on the rear. Try to hold your CB on the front skewer only and you will see what happens.

    Carbon Fiber Fun

an intermediate solution would be to pressfit a bushing across. Without a bushing, the axle that goes through the aluminum frame has to fit as tight as possible into the hole to reduce the wearing out of the hole. And no screw threads where it touches the aluminum hole.

    Falling over

I have the same problem. It takes me a lot of concntration to ride my Silvio 2 on a straight line below 8mph without sitting up. But sitting up over a 1 km long steep climb takes too much effort. On my last ride I encountered a (for me) serious climb over 1 km with a 14% incline. In the middle...

    S30 Rear Triangle Noise

Alexis, the diameter of the elastomer part should be bigger than the one of the plastic disk. Look at my photo compared to yours. Initially I had it the wrong way too. But I would be surprised if this is the cause of the misalignment.

    S30 Rear Triangle Noise

When you take it apart, you should measure the hole spacing. Have a look on post #5 over in Bob's build dairy on BROL http://www.bentrideronline.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=104477&highlight=Silvio+build

    S30 Rear Triangle Noise

Looking closely at the photos I have the impression that the cause of the misalignment might be the Ti spring blade length. Could you measure its length and confirm with Robert Holler?

    Presta with the Grizzlies

To avoid that mess I carry a re-useable Ty-rap with me. I turn the Silvio up-side-down, put the Ty-rap around the fork and the chain-stay, so that the derailleur hanger cannot fall out off its location. This makes the whole operation much easier. Unfortunately if you let the Ty-rap in place the...
