Straight bar
For the next couple of months my Silvio is on the rollers, and I prefer not changing my current set-up before I really get stable on the rollers.
seat cushion
I had the same back soreness after my initial rides. Added some additional cushioning under the original seat pad, but after some time, probably getting more relaxed I removed the added cushion and now I'm very comfortable with the original seat pad. As I remember Ivan experienced...
Silvio on rollers
I found an almost perfect set-up for riding my Silvio on rollers.
The rollers are set in the center of a 4ft wide galley in my basement, and I installed a mirror about 8ft in front of the BB.
The mirror allows me to stay more or less centered on the rollers, the mirrored...
Silvio on rollers
This weekend I installed my Silvio 2 on Tacx Galaxy rollers. I set it close to a wall on the right side and for the moment I clip only my right foot in.
I have the same problem not seeing if I ride too close to the side of the rollers. I think I'm going to install a mirror...
Riding on rollers
Jim,
you state
''Rollers 4 times per week''
are you riding your Vendetta on rollers similar to Tacx Galaxia T1100, or is your bike mounted on a trainer?
congrats
great achievement!
I'm still far from that, road only 650 miles this season.
Many rainy days here, but no excuse, I could have done more.
Season is not finished yet, so I hope to add some more miles before it gets too cold.
dirt road / loose gravel
''to climb my local mountain through a dirt road / loose gravel''
baov,
I don't think that the Silvio or the Vendetta are suitable bikes for such trails.
These are basically fast road bikes.
the roads of Montreal rattle my bones
baov,
have you already compared the ridequality Silvio vs. DF?
Even with 700c23 tires, the Silvio rides much smoother than a DF because of the weight distribution.
Corrosion
Super Slim,
Unless you get salty water into the frame, I don't think there will be a corrosion problem, because the frame is in aluminum.
PS: even in a salty environment it requires presence of an electrolyte like copper or so to cause corrosion.
