    Little tweaks

Well I live in Spain mostly and these 3T carbón aerobars have been delivered to my brothers address in Florida. They are similar to the ones I have at the moment ... The Vola... I want to run the cables inside without having to drill holes. If I don't drill holes I don't think the existing...

    Radical bike rack

I remember my friend took me up in a Cessna ; whilst in Ozz. It reminded me of a lawnmower with wings. He told me if the wind was greater than 10 knots that it would be difficult to land. So I asked him what the wind was doing and he said "10 knots"

    New cheap Cruzbike

My guess is that the new t50 or whatever they call it will be like an accelerator programme for their super duper fast bikes. People like me will probably buy 3 at a time and rent them out giving class lessons and once smitten the learners will have the time of their lives. I am completely for...

    Little tweaks

I have been looking at the front of the bike with my hand on shifter. That's quite a big drag in air resistance if you take into consideration that there are two hands. I know some of you have gone with aero brakes and levers but is it better? I just love being able to get my hand around the...

Ol'Yellow get a New Facelift after 11.6K Miles

Your pro ones look like the 28mm ... :D Haven't tried the hair dryer yet - might just take it to a pro and get him to seat the beads.

Ol'Yellow get a New Facelift after 11.6K Miles

Well I guess I just wanted to get the beads seated without putting any sealant in. It's a dry run for when I head over to Florida in February. I don't want sealant everywhere in the plane. Might just order up that Bontrager flash pump. I am trying to put the pro one on a...

Ol'Yellow get a New Facelift after 11.6K Miles

You're kidding me? I spent most of today on this. Luv the soft rubber. It feels really grippy. I am not going to give in. I tried the inner tube but I pinched it when trying to get the darn tire on. Now I have it enwrapped with a straight jacket with plastic ties and just going to the local...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

I am seriously tempted. There is only 10 days left. I could get rid of both the brifters and just put front and rear aero brake levers in and just have the xshifter on my right hand side. It would be more aero and lighter than even getting the Shimano DI2 upgrade. It is really tempting!

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

It appears that kerogenic dieters use carnitine with a low intake of carbs to optimize the fat burning process. Apparently quite common in body builders and not so common in carbo burning cyclists. So it has its merits. I will give it a go.

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Ok... Got cramp issues and it's not for over exercising. I thought it might be lack of magnesium as I am high in perspiration most days ... I do take enough salt but not magnesium, so I bought some capsules in the local supermarket that said Carnitine & magnesium. Not sure after reading about...

    Little tweaks

Well these arrived yesterday, they are approximately half as light as the 3T aluminum alloy version. They can stay in Florida until I arrive late in January. I regard them as a birthday present as lately the only achievements have just been losing in the weight department. I am looking...

    Little tweaks

Not the sort of tweak I like today. I did try to do a Ben Hur impression against a chain fence. I was fortunate not to have too much traffic around me. I took a corner too quickly and it was covered with dust and gravel. I recently changed my wheel sets over back to the aluminum alloy and am...

6-12-24 World TT Championships, Report from Borrego Springs: brief

Perhaps Christof and Marko have been training high in the mountains all year and they have more natural EPO in their blood. Christoph is from Austria - Alps Marko is from Slovinia - more sort of Alps Jason is from California - not much like the Alps. Let's take Jason to the Alps or Colorado...

    Little tweaks

As Jason did such a magnificent effort at Borrego Springs, I thought that his bike mods with fairing tweaks were worthy... So I am putting my hand to that. I want to buy covers for my Bontrager aura 5 front wheel (non drive). Any ideas where I can get them from? I also recently changed from...
