    Getting Off the Fence

The new Silvio sounds fab. I haven't ridden it. But as soon as I get my money together it's going to be on the new V20. I have been told it's 5mph faster than the Vendetta 2 which use to be a world record holder. I find the V2 scary fast so the the V20 is awesome. The vendetta can be really...

Your Max Speed on a Cruzbike

Slap for a shimmy on a DF (Anyone fancy doing the same video on a Cruzbike?) I haven't been confident on downhill descents as i always have a crosswind coming at me with quite a bit of traffic. I will beat my PB as soon as I fit the ordered swissStop black princes. I was naive and have...

    Core temperature

This is probably one of the best sentences I have ever read... Increased skin blood flow is problematic for an endurance athlete because less blood is available to working muscles and vital organs such as the heart, making exercise more difficult. and another tip... What i find most useful...

    Core temperature

I usually take a couple of plastic ties with me which I secure the frame to derailleur to fork. That way when I take the front wheel out I usually have enough time to get the axle back in before the derailleur gives way. Then I can take my time repairing the wheel. It hasn't happened to me for ages.

Gosh.... I can see now why you spent so much! I was reading about the setting up of those derailleurs and it can be done in a minute or so.

    Core temperature

That's a right pain doing that. That's happened to me twice and that's the biggest reason I went tubeless. Second time around I decided to find some shade to change the friggin inner tube.

    Spot the cruzbike

I had something similar pass me (and it wasn't Jason)... Somehow I don't think it would be good going up a 10% however it would probably shoot past me on the descent but that would probably give the driver something to think about when his visor mists up when doing 110kph. Just love the...

    I'll just hop that curb!

I do remember praise being given to ZIPP as they use much better resin that has a higher melting point than other manufacturers.

Joe... I luv the way you have your mirrors placed... never tried that.

    I'll just hop that curb!

yep... that's the best sound the wonderbike makes as well as the ratchet noise of the freehub when I am drafting off a peddling crazy DF rider.

    Core temperature

Today I had the interesting idea of core temperature associated with fatigue and hydration. It all goes together in a strange correlation. There must be different thresholds or barriers that the body has to deal with and I guess it's associated with what you wear too. I was on the mountain bike...

    Take-aways from Portland retreat

Good... Just ordered the pro cat-ears... I am getting sick of the ringing in my ears as I go out every day. Lets look after number one. Cant be good having 95+ db every day ; at the beginning of the day... for 1 or 2 hours... I suggest you don't spend so much time as me with the deliberation!

Just realized what the funny red things were that came with the shimano Carbon shoes R260; they were the arch supports and they just slot in to the inner soles. I will try them tomorrow. Now this is getting exciting.

    Slow Ride

I am planning for next year to get the new V20 and with it the Garmin 820. I have been using the wahoo RFLKT. It's a pig to setup. The android version is crap. There is one stable version that seems to work quite well and gives synchronous displays with the iPhone. Now that's sort working I have...

    2016 - Social Tour Season

Hey Bob, Are those standard Cruzbike Jerseys? Looks much better than the one on the website. Love the Logo "Designed for Joy". I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of those. Thanks for posting

    I'll just hop that curb!

Interesting to know as where I live it's exceptionally dry and usually windy. We get rain here perhaps on 20 days of the year and usually I don't go out on such days. I find the tyres don't grip so well when you need them. There is a lot of sand in the wind and when it gets wet on the roads...

    I'll just hop that curb!

Nice to know, especially in a peloton. Imagine with disc brakes and in a peloton. You could brake really well but the guy behind you won't. If you have disc brakes; best to stay to the side of the peloton or at the back.

Ha ha ... Yes I need to rephrase it. It was indeed a plantar callus. I bought some insoles already and not for so much money. Let's see how things go. I had a good ride this morning with no pain. I actually went out twice. First with the V and then with the Mrs...

I guess an airbag protection device on the handlebars might help. Can't help but think it was a near impact with the undercarriage.

The Low Down on Carbon Bike Tech.

Hey, that's really interesting. I found out something that I didn't know. Front wheel braking is more effective on a DF. So would this be the same on a V? Also I have a Bontrager carbon wheel with the aluminium braking rim at the rear of the bike, which I use most of the time and rarely use the...
