Website suggestions for educating self re: Rotor Q rings

Cor reading this has given me an interesting idea of climbing a set of hills that I haven't climbed on the same route. I have a 36/54t Q Ring combo and a 11:32t 11 speed cassette. I haven't found a hill which I can't climb yet but I don't live in CA. So I will let you know how I fair...

    Garmin alternatives- Wahoo, anyone?

I have a wahoo REFLT, it has a small footprint and its great for those 50km runs. Anything above that then wahoo fitness has issues with its GPS tracking, which is really annoying. It's an annoying problem as wahoo fitness appears to be working but impossible to upload to strava or display GPS...

Suggestions for a new bike carrier

Gosh... You guys get away with everything there. That wouldn't be allowed in Spain. It blocks the car registration plate and lights and the bike over hangs past the side of the car. An instant €200 fine and if you are a tourist... It's a pay on the spot. I know because my brother bought a bike...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

I am impressed... Perhaps attach an accessory to a trainer and then you could use bike power to create a vacuum in a glass for free. That pump must make a considerable amount of racket. Don't forget the ear protectors.

An anniversary, or milestone of sorts!

Yes Larry, that's quite something to achieve and not many of us have. And I guess you are beginning to believe that you are limitless. Which is totally great to achieve. (But if you achieve that then you won't be in this world) You are probably at your optimum so why not just enjoy life at...

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

Jason, your box under the seat would love a coat of paint. I tried to buy a Thor seat recently but Greg is in the process of moving so he isn't doing any more for six months. How do you find it? Does it give you a lot more power? And is it more comfortable at longer distances?

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

Well I have been ok up to now but with the new fitness regime I am doing between 100 to 140km rides. Oddly enough surprise surprise. It's not the main muscle groups I have discomfort with, but my left arm because the brifter left lever tension is stronger and the over extension needed to change...

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

My left arm is playing up a bit. It starts hurting when I have to change chainwheels. I think I have a good case for upgrading to Di2 :p

My first ride on my Silvio S30

Looks like he cheated a little as the car park is on a slope. It certainly helps having a slope when you start learning.

The Low Down on Carbon Bike Tech.

When I clean my CF wheels I make sure about the integrity of the carbon on the rim. I also make sure about the tightness of spokes. If you are going at speed, you don't want your wheels failing you. I bought mine in China. Yep they were cheap and the manufacturer is well known. I live where...

My first ride on my Silvio S30

That's one of the largest car parks I've seen, practicing in that is a blessing for sure. When I was young I always wanted to ride a bike too big for me. Crazy idea and consequently when I could ride that mother of a bike I'd always fall off when I came to a stop. With these cruzbikes it's...

    Upgrade fork/chainstay for older Vendetta

I have been toying with the idea of buying a new one and use that wonderful yellow coat. But I luv the chrome boom too. My top speed is pretty good so I will keep it for now. The biggest improvement in the last two months I have found is the motor. It doesn't take so long to recharge and it's...

The Low Down on Carbon Bike Tech.

I had a big white flash when driving around a country corner much too fast when I was a teenager. We came head to head with a bus. My friend ducked underneath the dash and I did too. There was a huge white light and somehow we missed it???? Still don't get it. Perhaps God gave us a second...

The Low Down on Carbon Bike Tech.

That was a bit of an eye opener. Makers like specialized and giant with Quality control issues due to bubbles because of humidity when gluing. Quite incredible technology. It was interesting to about having alluminium next to carbon causes acidity if the aluminum gets wet. (Acts like a battery)...

    Upgrade fork/chainstay for older Vendetta

Interesting, if you lower the boom angle does that mean you have less boom drag coefficient ? Why not go the whole way and replace the whole of the front assembly?

    Gravity for the win

The odd thing with the GCN bike vid is they didn't wear gloves or no speedo on the handlebars. When the lead shouts "car" or "goat" the person behind does what (smile, brake, go to the right)? On one of the apex of the road of them takes it a little wide... I really don't like gravel, but that...

    Gravity for the win

I had a rabbit, I remember what jond said about bunny hopping on a V. Fortunately it ran across the road before I needed to improvise:eek:
