    Lighter times

i have been doing this ketogenic diet now for 10 weeks, I notice surpringly at odd pains in my body. This season I switched to carbon racing shoes and look pedals. I am utilising more power for longer. Each week I try to do one endurance ride of 80km and oddly the part of my body that feels it...

    Riding with DF groups

I usually ride the opposite route ... Today it was totally ideal. Against a little wind nice and early. I must have past about 7 pelotons and lots of lookers cheering and giving me a wave. Sitting on the back of a group sucks. Just can't stand that. Just have to overtake. I can see the V as a...

Farther, Faster, Fitter, Fun - (4F - The unofficial Cruzbike training team and support group)

Has anyone backed this https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1102891136/stac-zero-silent-zero-contact-bike-trainer Seems like the perfect travel companion whenever I go to a frantic hot country like the Philippines, I could take it with me. The power meter trainer sounds like exactly what I...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I use to have my arms straighter and I liked the security and quick power engagement and it felt great going up the hills but for me it was causing issues in my arms by the elbows. A condition that's almost the same as tennis elbow. I had it both arms but after an adjustment of bringing in the...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I am curious as to how you have set the handlebars. Any chance of a look as it might be something I haven't tried. Thanks

Why are road bumps so much more obtrusive on a recumbent?

Jond has perfected the back lifting to a degree that he can literally jump over a rabbit at 50kph. Not for the faint hearted

Why are road bumps so much more obtrusive on a recumbent?

The bigger bumps have other issues with recumbents of bottles taking off out of their cages. Very irritating.

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

I had a few weeks of creeping out on the V at midnight to adapt the low Centre of gravity. The good thing is it's not too far to the ground on a V and it's a side bailout instead of over the handlebars. I have had a number of close shaves ... I still go out earlier in the day instead of later...

    How to be safe from....?

I remember last year visiting Amsterdam. It has one of the highest theft rates of bikes in the world. Not surprisingly because there are so many bikes. I remember watching one cyclists cycling away towing a specialized bike with his other hand. I couldn't help but think that he was very...

    How to be safe from....?

Get up early and hurl your bike down the street so fast that they don't get a chance to swing the bat. The other day I got chased by 4 big dog's ... Thank the Lord the V flies

    How to be safe from....?

Try reciting any of Shakespeare's plays or poems. That always puts them on the wrong foot.

    Tire pressure talk

I must have been a prize dork not realizing that. Anyways. The funny thing was the valve was completely air tight and even pressing the knobby bit in no air would come out. So I took the rear wheel off the bike and put it in the road and rotated the release of the valve and the f'ing thing just...

    Tire pressure talk

I will go back to the tire pressure issue I have with my V , the rear tire doesn't inflate properly as the sealant has dried in the valve. I have to use tremendous force to get just a little air in. It can't be good for the pump. So what's the best way of dealing with it? Idea 1. Put a hole in...

Website suggestions for educating self re: Rotor Q rings

Larry, Isn't the natural boyo tendency to go as fast and as long as you can muster... Certainly old school behaviour and not good for the heart. So I did see a video trainer programme about Tour de France sprinters sprinting up hills once but I am pretty sure their hearts were doing 180 BPM ...
