It's me with the unridden Vendetta again.

Hi Kenneth, Try putting a front wheel stabilizer on it so the front wheel stays more straight. If you try to Flintstone it whilst keeping further to the back of the seat and slide down. Your arms should be out straight on the hoods and your heels should just touch the pedals. Start going down a...

    Cause for Concern

Ok, so lately I have been pushing it with an app called wahoo fitness. Typically I have found a great way of getting the ticker working by riding with a cadence rate of 90 RPM and as I get warmed up the heart rate steps up quite nicely. I try to get the heart rate in the 150 to 160 bpm but on...

    Crest of a Hill

The V has the 11/32 cassette so its a bit more forgiving.

    Crest of a Hill

Hey Joe, Now that's given me some doubt. Have I gone out and bought the wrong Q Ring? The steepest gradient around here is 10% so I think I am good. Most of the time its flat terrain. Well its certainly a lot easier on the legs than the last 44t

    Crest of a Hill

Perhaps its because he shaves his legs and he wasn't going up a 10%'er

    Crest of a Hill

My V 2.0 has undergone a transition; the inner Q Ring which was 44t is now a 38t and to go with it was a long gated derailleur that now keeps the chain well tensioned. The hardest thing doing the change over was releasing the snap link in the chain. As the drivechain is now 11 speed the chain is...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

You did really well Jason. Sorry about the suffering.

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

Go Go Jason! The Ventisit seat is great as it keeps your back cool as acting as a shock absorber. If your cranks are >= 165 you might be better off with Q Rings.

    V y tapa

Well it’s been a long time in the making. Spain is a sunny space and this year is no exception. Even in the Autumn there are moments of brilliance. So I mixed a bit of sprinting with a few stops today to take some photos. I was testing out some new prescription glasses so I didn’t want to go...

    Rigging Aero Bag on Vendetta

Well that a novel approach in using a $139 bent aero bag for sure. It does look good from the side view in the third picture. I just have recently put the same bottle holder assembly kit on my V and am thinking that it could be more aero.

    New Vedetta NeckRest R&D

Hey Moose... you are getting very creative! Still I love the idea of putting some of those blown inner tubes to work somehow.

Pretty sure you are hooked and without Q Rings... Plenty of scope for more adventures

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

Hey... really sorry to hear that. I try to mix my cycling every day. If I am having a recovery day I put the hands on the drops. I think its good for the bones to have a bit of a shake too so I mix the V with the mountain bike. I like cycling distance even with the mountain bike. With the...

Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

Reminds me of a film with Eddy Murphy and Steve Martin Classic... Pleased you are ok

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

You have a chainwheel 39/53t configuration. I have a 44/54t configuration. Going downhill is freaky but uphill a struggle. Is your 39t an effort as I am definitely dropping down in size?

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

After such a ride I am surprised how the recovery effect is with the V. I bet the others didn't want to race soon after that! I enjoyed the write up.

Best options for 28mm tires on the Vendetta?

I am running with 28mm front and rear. They are the Compass Chinook Pass, I have less than 3mm to spare at the top of front wheel. From the rim to the top of the tyre is 26mm and obviously 28mm wide. My less than 3mm space is between the front brake calliper and the tyre. I have them pumped to...

    New Vedetta NeckRest R&D

I haven't tried the N but two days ago I did an M with an old punctured mountain bike inner tube. I thought the bigger diameter would support me more and what with the greater space between the top of the M it wouldn't interfere with the Giro shield helmet adjuster. I cut the inner tube an equal...

UMCA Century Road Record Attempt - Oct 11, 2015

Larry, You are not old... just stop comparing yourself to everyone else. There is, only one Larry. You yourself said in your write up that you could save 3 minutes, with the right helmet and then you mention that if you rested better the night before and sorted out the hydration better then it...
