There would be a lot of variables to this question. It would be very hard to get the same setup, components, etc. on two different generations of V to compare but it should be doable to compare frame weight and (subjectively) stiffness. Head tube angle, rake, and trail measurements. Hmmm...

Make one from bike boxes from the local bike shop. Protect dropouts. Bag anything loose. Disassemble. Wrap everything in paper and or bubble wrap.
