    V20 crank length?

I guess to be sure I am being clear. Post #15 refers specifically to @Frito Bandito's situation, emphasizing that the variables involved, being a new mbb rider + the boom sliding out 3cm over the course of one ride, are much more significant than the difference between 175mm and 165mm cranks...

Adventures on the road not taken...

Maybe a little too hole-y if you hit the brakes hard and go past the USS onto the BBB (biting bottom bracket). I do like the use of existing bike parts though. It even has a rain water gathering device above the bottom bracket.:p

    V20 crank length?

Wrong fit or not being used to a particular muscle movement can easily result in damage or pain. When switching to moving bottom bracket recumbent you are changing things with the muscles used. Also in your case the number of kms is high so the repetition of motion would be higher than for me...

    Q45 bag solutions

I can’t take all the credit. My bag is an old touring handlebar bag and it has a stiff u shaped plastic thing that holds the bag open on the handlebar. When I use it on the Cruzbike I hang it on the seat back and the stiffness provided by the bag keeps it above the tire. My specialty is making...

    Q45 bag solutions

A “U” shaped something attatched to the back of the seat that the base of the U is against the seat and the arms extend to where they are in the way of the bags going in against the wheel.

@LarryOz Ape hangers and a new chain for your ride and you’ll be in bidness.

High Speed roars into the Platinum League

Maybe they should cancel the hockey but let the speed skaters play smarter-than-thou.

High Speed roars into the Platinum League

@trplay When my eyes feast on that image of stats from High speed they notice that in raw power there are four riders almost the same as me and one with way more raw power. So if I was to ride with you I would be pretty evenly matched on a flat course.

    Q45 bag solutions

You may have problems with the wheel rubbing on the bags if you don’t have fenders, wheel skirts, and they hang down far or the wheel comes up. Experience talking again- I have a different bag that hangs on the seat - when my bag is empty it hangs down more and sometimes rubs and bonks the fender.

    V20 crank length?

Oh I use 175mm and 165 on my Cruzbike Kit and Qx100 respectively- because that is what they came with. When I switch bikes I can feel a difference. But It is not something that I can quantify or say is significant enough for me to distinguish from everyday variances in my riding.

    V20 crank length?

@LarryOz et al. Has anyone come across actual scientific or at least rational reason(s) or testing results for why shorter would be better for recumbent specifically and a bit longer for vertical better? One needs to give knee pain veto power, and after that leverages, torques, body parts...

    Q45 bag solutions

I don’t have that bag but the website pictures look as though you could undo the bottom straps and attach them below the seat bracket. Or is that sleeve not adjustable? Regardless, you should be able to put the sleeve over the cushion if it won’t sit under it. Or maybe I’m just not seeing it...

Stopping water into Shifter cable ferrule

Must be a mountain biker. Hit the dirt anyway but keep the dirt out = better performance.

    The Champions

And finesse it surely is. I have a difficult time doing that. The smoother the power / speed at the front the easier. So pick a w/kg to pull at and then over the first few pulls figure out how that fits everyone. Then have them pull at that power throughout. A smooth team is way faster than a...

    seat cushion attachment

The adhesive is long since useless on my conversion kit. I ride with the seat held in place by my back. Sometimes I need to adjust it. I can do that while riding. I have used occasionally used tape “o” s on the seat back to stop it sliding around.
