    Low rider frame

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no. There may be such parts available someday (hopefully- :D ) but not yet. Mark

Survived the virgin ride; it was scary fun!

It will get easier each time. Just remember to pay attention to what your hips are doing. When you turn, what you are doing is throwing your hips one way, or the other. What your body has learned from riding other bikes is to use body english to make minor corrections. On the Cruzbike, this...

    Qrings

When I ride to work, I get up at 4:00 AM. I sit down at the computer with my cup of coffee and my bowl of cereal to see what's going on in the world when I should be sleeping. Then, I ride to work, take my shower, get dressed and sign on again to see what happened in the last 2 hrs. Simple...

    Commute to work

Tragedy... As I was adding air to my tires for the commute ride this morning, I noticed my front rim has some issues. I have one eyelet that is pulling through the rim and another crack in the rim. I rode it today, but may have to break out the Silvio for the rest of the week. It was a free...

    Qrings

OK, wait... Did I miss something? I thought we were talking about Q rings, which are elliptical chainrings. In my mind's eye, the big question is; where is the crank in relation to the oblong ends of the rings? Then again, my mind is known to be blind in one eye, can't see out of the other...

    WOW.

Good point, however, it should be noted that Silvio I was not totally destroyed, just severely wounded. If spare parts were available, she would be roaming the roads yet. Also, I garnered a few extra points by replacing her with another Silvio! I still think I should get a cookie. :roll...

John, You're saying cranks straight up and down and the Q-ring at 40 deg? Or the other way around? Mark

    Silvio Bentrider Review

+1.... Although some people recognize it right away. I've had a number of people say that this is the first recumbent design they've seen that makes sense. Haven't seen any of them rush out to buy a Silvio, but I know one guy that (I think) is thinking about it. Mark

    Silvio Bentrider Review

That's going to sell some frames. I get the impression there are a number of people just waiting for a thumbs up review to pull the trigger. Better advise Jenny to batton down the hatches!! Mark

    Another Silvio to be born!

I like my handlebars low. When I built Silvio II, I but the TFT clamp on first, then the small spacer, the large and finally the cap. I have 2.75" between the top clamp on the TFT and the welded part the handlebar mounts too. With this setup, the bar just clears my knees and I may get a tick...

    Riding With Friends

The great thing about riding with a cycling club is the friendships you make. I realize that not everybody has access to the kind of club that welcomes all comers and I know I'm blessed in that regard. When my son and I joined up almost ten years ago, I was riding a recumbent and he a mountain...

    Riding With Friends

I rode with the same group of friends again today. The ride we did this week was to Perris Airport, south of Moreno Valley. This is an airport that caters to skydiving and is, in fact, quite famous for it. I hadn't been out there in years, so was eager to jump in and go because the last time...
