What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

Road Mount Blackburn today. It was a slightly challenging workout (after riding Laconte yesterday) that would normally be a rather easy but long endurance ride. Most of you guys on the schedule get to do it tomorrow. :p:p:p:p Like Ratz said, after this we are all probably doing something...

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

What a tough week. After Huffaker, Spruce Knob, and Darwin - you think the hard part of the week is over. No way! Welcome Leconte: 90 minutes at .91 IF - WOW! 120 TSS points earned if you can finish it! Another workout for me; where after the first set of 2x10 minutes at just about FTP with...

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

Today was a nice recovery ride - very welcome after the first 3 hard days! Almost fell asleep it was so peaceful! haha But tomorrow is the dreaded Leconte that will make Darwin look like an easy ride (90 minutes at .91 IF) - then a 4 hour Mount Blackburn on Saturday to see how well you can do...

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

As you can see the Q34 is not much off of rounde. Yes - I would agree - the Q is almost round and I personally never noticed any difference. - Go with the QXL 36.

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

Today was Darwin for me - probably tomorrow for the rest of you since I start on Monday instead of Tuesday. Man - tough Threshold workout after 2 pretty "challenging" days of V02 Max and SS riding. The killer for me was the almost immediate 3 minute "near-Threshold" interval after only 3 measly...

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

OK Ratz - I know I am slow sometimes so please forgive me - So this last weekend's Mount Drum ride was purposefully picked so we could not complete it? If we could complete it, then out FTP is set too low in TR? Is that what you are saying? I also thought you mentioned this coming weekend's...

Zwift - Cruzbike Activities (races and group rides)

You guy and gals have fun - I can almost never ride in the evenings, as my schedule is so booked up with other stuff, so I'll live vicariously through you all!

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

Sunday was my rest day, but my knees where still a little soar from the 3:45 Saturday "Mount Drum" workout. I think I move my boom in a little too far (total 1 1/4") for my 150mm cranks. I move it back out about 1/2" for Monday's workout: Huffaker (what "huffer" - as in huff and puff at those...

Zwift - Cruzbike Activities (races and group rides)

Sorry Jason - I am continually reminded that I signed up for RAAM with 3 other people that are counting on me to peak at the right time with them. Ratz for one has spent considerable time on a detailed training plan for us, and I want to honor his efforts and not screw it up!

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

Rode Mount Drum this morning. Not too bad, but that 15 minute interval at 225 after 3 hours was a little shock to the system.:eek::eek::eek::eek: That was the 3rd SweetSpot interval in this set. I can not remember the Saturday endurance rides having these harder efforts in them - must be a...

What I did to prepare for Sebring 2017 ---today

I rode Clark today - also moved my boom in 3/4" to try out some of Ratz's fitting estimates, as it looked like my leg was virtually flat when fully extended. The jury is still out on how I felt. My left knee hurts now, but it might just be because of the low cadence at 200% FTP that this workout...

I'm not about to let you get off that easy Jason!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: You've still got 3 weeks.. and here is something to ponder: I understand you will probably would not be physically ready (due to your wrist). Come anyway - but don't bring your bike - just your...

New to CruzBike and considering a purchase of the V20 frameset

This is a starting point. http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/misc/crank_angle.asp Seems like cranks for any bent rider is always shorter than for DF. I can ride 130-150 pretty comfortably. I am 5'7" (when properly stretched out) - and X-seam of about 41". But I think it really boils down to the...

    V20 finding that fit

Wow - that is a bummer - ;( You could machine a crank down to match the "shortness" in you one leg. Then you might be able to get a better fit for yourself and maximize everything!
