Thanks, Jack. Yes, Yorba Regional Park is a fantastic place for a meet and ride. Usually, anyway. Saturday, though, there was a softball tournament, or something, so the parking lot was pretty full. We had to park out in one of the dirt lots, which is no big deal, really. I like it better...

 I eclipsed that mark eons ago! During the time I was between Silvios, my wife would find me somewhere, curled up in the fetal position and whimpering. She would KICK me and tell me to "get a life". She's got some nerve, I tell ya!  Mark

For reals.... Today was the club's official end of the month beach ride. A group of us met at Yorba Regional Park for the ride along the Santa Ana River Trail bike path. I rode along with a friend of mine and we were a little later than the others getting to the ride start. We got our stuff...

I'm kinda weird, because I don't mind my knees ticking the bar now and then. So, don't go by me. I want my bar low as possible. Mark

That looks pretty good! For your computer mount, you might read up on my homebrew mount made of PVC pieces. Probably a lot lighter than that stem. Mark

    Commute to work

I suspect you're right abuot the electric assist. I saw a guy riding a mountain bike the other day and I was impressed with the way he was moving, until I saw the motor. Cheatin', that's what it is! Mark

    Commute to work

Not sure what it's doing for me, if anything. It might even be counterproductive, but I don't think so. I caught myself doing it again this afternoon. There you go; you went and jinxed me! ;) Mark

    Commute to work

I came to a realization on my ride home from work last night. Actually, I knew I was doing it for some time, but my brain just made the connection last night. When I’m working the bars for added momentum, I’m not just pushing/pulling; I’m also throwing the bike side to side like you would when...
