Wow! Glad you're OK.... Funny, or not so funny, but I had the same exact thing almost happen on my ride to work this morning. In my instance, I had just rounded a corner and was just building momentum back up. I knew the car was there and still in my lane, so I kind of expected him to do...- Mark B

It's not necessary on a Sofrider as your fd clamps to the TFT, which rotates in conjunction with he BB as you adjust the length. You should be able to run a triple with no issues.- Mark B
