    OK, I win

OK, I think I win for the weirdest thing found on a bike ride. At least for today. I was riding along, minding my own business, when I rolled through a debris field, like from a car accident, like the one where the car flipped over, plowed through the fence and was still laying there with the...

Confirmed: Mark B is an idiot

So, does this mean you will not be accepting the sack full of clams I was planning to send? What if I throw in a couple chickens, a goat and maybe a small bag of oranges?   Mark

13t smallest sprocket problems - much of an issue or no?

Hi Dan, I don't have the answer to your question, but I would like to welcome you to the forum and welcome you to the Silvio club! FWIW, I run a 12t Campy on my Silvio and can't imagine one more tooth causing problems. Stranger things have happened, I guess. Welcome, once again! Mark

Trust me, it's already in the works. We have the whole enchilada in one place; home, auto, life. I know they don't give a crap, but I do. We've been pretty happy with them up until this incident and now, it seems like they don't GAS. Maybe it's because it's bicycle prejudice. Mark

Don't get me wrong, Jon, I wish they would wire the money. Funny thing is, if I were behind on my premium, they'd want an electronic transfer. You can bet on that. But I have to wait even longer than usual because of their screw up and they sure aren't jumping through hoops for me. Mark

Confirmed: Mark B is an idiot

Tell me about it. A very simple claim, I thought. But no, it has to be partly auto insurance and partly homeowners insurance, which meant I had to pay two deductibles totalling $750. The auto insurance side of it went off without a hitch. The car has been repaired and all is well...

Because by using a check, they can continue to build interest on their money from the time they cut the check until it's actually deposited. 3-4 days, anyway. We didn't get very far with the next day air thing, either. They suddenly became stupid and couldn't comprehend. Mark

    Seat pad care

Take the cover off and wash it with your cycling clothes. I'd probably wash the foam seperately and wring it out best you can and then air dry. Mark

Here's an update. A rather unbelievable update, if you ask me. My wife called the adjuster handling our case last week to see how much longer before we can expect payment. It's been three weeks since the accident. She got a message back that indicated we should have already received a check...

Great report! Loved it. You're probably riding with one of my compadres from our bike club. He always summers in Penn. and does bike tours in the area. Thanks for the great report! Mark

Thanks, Rob. It's getting sorted out, slowly but surely. I got my wife's bike built last night, so that frees me up to jump right on mine once the frameset lands. I've been enjoying my conversion immensely in my Silvio's absence. Mark

OK ... Help before I surrender

Ahhh, we all went through the struggles. Just remember that your hips are king. When you force the bar to turn left, you are in fact forcing your hips right. So, lean into the turns, but be mindful of your hips because they can really make you or break you... Don't give up, let your body...

    Aerospoke Silvio

I thought the same thing. Assume the purpose is to gain knee room without being between the drops. The real answer is WTB/Origin 8 bars. Mark

The guys I blew by were stunned, this is one crazy bike.

Welcome and thanks for sharing! Mark

    Suitable for Conversion?

I'd say the same thing as before. Mount the seat on the top tube and see if the ride height will be acceptable. Keep in mind that as you are first learning, getting your foot/feet down to the ground quicly will be a valuable asset. Mark

    future design modifications?

You make some valid points. There are issues, though, with trying to market the Silvio as a complete bike. The main thing is; every individual is different and this is a high end bike aimed at people that want that sort of performance. The wrong component set-up on a bike with that kind of...

    Silvio changes ?

Right and I forgot about the short people angle being problematic. I was stuck in "long legs mode" and correct me if I'm wrong (again! ), but the solution in the works for the Silvio will not translate to the other bikes without a clamp on bracket to duplicate the Silvio's mount. Mark
