    Be careful going down hill

I have found that when I have found that when coasting at high speeds, if I want to transition from coasting to pedaling, it is best to start pedaling slowly - so the first turn or two of the pedals, you are not powering the bike...then you can gently work back into powering the bike by...

    Strava

Hi Eric,   I know what you Hi Eric, I know what you mean about RACE EFFORTS (dot races!). Strava doesn't have that as far as I can tell, but I only have the free membership. It does offer a lot more analysis in the paid memberships. For me, the best thing about Strava is the fact...

    Strava

Hmmm...logging Hmmm...logging out....checking....Oh, wow, yeah it shows a lot less when you aren't logged in. Sorry about that! I like RWGPS too, but most riders around here use Strava, so the segments on Strava are a lot more competitive than those on RWGPS. Another thing I like...

    Strava

I've been uploading my ride data to Strava this year. It's a lot of fun competing in various segments with people I've never met. A lot of people near me use Strava, so the competition is usually pretty strong. Most of the segments that I ride have been ridden by hundreds of people. I...

I don't know if Ray is just I don't know if Ray is just being nice and doesn't want to say anything bad about the shop, but I chatted with him a few times (and showed him my Cruzbikes before he decided to buy one). I know that doesn't include components. He got Di2. Maybe it included a...

    Fast Uphill Fun

I don't think giving the V a I don't think giving the V a carbon frame would make it much lighter. When my Vendetta came in the mail last summer, I was amazed how light the frame pieces were. The components, wheels, bags, and whatever else we put on our bikes are the heavy parts.

I think it's great!   It I think it's great! It looks cooler and I think it's easier to read than the prior version. Nice work, Andrew. I also think it's great that it was designed by a enthusiast/fan/user.

Axiom Journey 2429 Rack for Silvio 2.0

Nice finds, Charles!   I'll Nice finds, Charles! I'll bet those would work too. I like the first one better as it seems more adjustable. Super Slim, I don't know what the exact weight is, but the BB is very light - it's just nylon fabric (strong though) plus a little bit of plastic so...

    Seat/Headrest Question

I was having some problems I was having some problems with the way my headrest felt. There was some gap between my neck and headrest cushion, so I cut up one of those gardening kneeling cushions and inserted a few pieces of it to fill the gap. It seemed to really help.

On my Vendetta (where my On my Vendetta (where my knees do come up high enough to block the light from handlebar mounted lights), I use a helmet mount kit for the same light...so I can conveniently move it from bike to bike. I put it right on the boom (high enough where I can still reach the...

I don't know if you already I don't know if you already own the Serfas light, but I have one of these mounted right on my Silvio 1.5's handlebars. No extra hardware needed and the battery is internal. It's a great light and the mount is solid...

I don't know if the 2.0 has I don't know if the 2.0 has different handlebars than the 1.5, but I have a similar headlight mounted right on my 1.5's handlebars with the mount that came with the light. It mounts easily and my legs do not get in the way of the light.

For You, Is Left Right or is Right Right?

It's funny this thread came It's funny this thread came up when it did. I have been a dominant (right) foot starter for a year and a half now. But in the past few weeks I have been switching to non-dominant. When I start with my right, I sometimes get a little bit of a left steer as I...

Thanks!   It was only a log Thanks! It was only a log jam until we got through the starting gate. After that we could use the whole road so it went from a log jam down to just "crowded". They had the fast riders starting up front and the slower riders in the back, so I we pretty much at...
