    Personal record on a 100m

I rode the "Hotter than Hell Hundred" yesterday. This is a 100 mile ride in north Texas with about 14,000 riders. They also have shorter distances. It is a huge event, with a trade show, mountain bike race, crit races, 100 mile race/ride, and I think there is also a half marathon the day...

    Loaded Silvio 2.0

I've got about 500 miles now I've got about 500 miles now with my "Brain box tray" and it's worked very well. Looks like the Bachetta Brain Box is the same as your X-eyed bag, except mine is yellow on the sides. My Bachetta Brain Box bag even says "X-eyed" on the top. I originally...

    Waiting is hard to do.

Tuloose, Read this When I got my Vendetta, the Scissor clamp acted the way you describe...I couldn't get it to "spread". Then I took it apart and turned one of the pieces around the other way, put it back together and it started working that way.

    silvio drive wheel removal

I have a Silvio 1.5.  I turn I have a Silvio 1.5. I turn the bike upside down (in the grass - watch out for dogpoo!). Pull out the skewer. it kinda helps to hold the chain tensioner back (yes, you'll get your fingers dirty). Let the RD flop around if it wants to after the wheel comes...

    Personal record on a 100K

Yup, Cyclemeter on iPhone.   Yup, Cyclemeter on iPhone. Best $5 I ever spent. After a ride, it's just a few clicks on the phone to send it to Ride with GPS. I don't have any power meter or cadence sensor, but if I did, Cyclemeter could connect to them as long as they use ANT+ or Bluetooth...

    Personal record on a 100K

Thanks Eric, but I think Jim Thanks Eric, but I think Jim is the Speed Racer among us! It's hillier where you live, Eric, so you get points for that. :-) Jim, you are right on! Going north at the end was rough! I was pushing hard trying to keep my speed up but you couldn't tell from...

should headrest slide in an out freely on silvio 2.0

No, it should not.   There is No, it should not. There is a "spreader" that goes in between the headrest tubes where it is inside the frame. The spreader pushes the tubes out against the frame. You should also have some rubber (looks like 1 inch pieces of tire tube) around the headreast...

    Personal record on a 100K

Today I rode a 100K (actually it was about 65 miles) with a 19.3mph average! That's a record for me. I did it on the Vendetta 2.0. It was a fairly flat ride, but there were some hills. http://ridewithgps.com/trips/1606299

    Tires for Clyde's

Andrew, I am surprised to Andrew, I am surprised to hear you had two flats in one week on Gatorskins. I've got Gatorskins on my V, and I had them on my old DF and never flatted on either (maybe 3500 miles combined between them). I've got GP4000's on my SIlvio and have had 3 flats in about...

Another Brain Box Mount for Vendetta

Hi Jim,  Yes, I see a Hi Jim, Yes, I see a performance benefit because I don't go thirsty! :-) I'm not trying to add aero benefit. John T. has done enough of that for me already. I am just trying to make a good place for my stuff. I am more of a distance rider than a...
