    One shot cleats...!

That does sound odd the screw should be locked down at the factory to the point that you'd snap your allen wrench trying to turn it....

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

If cost is an issue; and you need to climb better; yes it works fine and you can get benefit. The QXL ring would be appropriate as it's the one with the real climbing advantages. On a compact double 110-bcd the normal q-ring doesn't really provide enough advantage due to the limit imposed by...

    One shot cleats...!

Sounds like the adjustment screw wasn't set correctly at the factory I would contact speedplay support. The screw is adjustable but it's meant to be factory set and you need soldering iron usually to break the locktite.

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Fasted for 10 hours test run TT without any real carbs in the system, just my normal 125g of high quality ones the day before. Did pretty good until the test power source "out truck" auto turned off on me and I couldn't get back into a rythm after having to run the power cord over to the wall...

has anyone tried bars like this?

Black enamel spray paint; coat with clear nail polish; should last more than a season. If they weren't aluminum I would say bake in oven like we do with stainless steel screens; but that would end badly with aluminum. Or get a really nice Garmin GPS to mount there and hide the silver.

    Falling over

10% is a tough grade in 34x32. Alot of people would need 34x36 to climb that. If you are tipping over going up a 10% that would not make you abnormal at your current mileage. You would be a strong candidate for that qring qxl 36 which is effectively variable from 38x33... that would give you...

White Mountain Double Century and Final Race for the CA Triple Crown Stage Race

Now we just need some good action footage of Jason on the V20. Then I could make a new version of the video Vendetta Fast..... called On the wings of donuts. I think we could use the same opening sequence. The pace line, Jason on a MTB Jason going by full speed Jason gong by in slow mo eating...

White Mountain Double Century and Final Race for the CA Triple Crown Stage Race

I thought that was just me..... I find that comes back after about 2-3 days. I did that early in the year. I need to learn to time it for before having my MotherInLaw's cooking.

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

Might work; When you the cassette range gets over 11-30T you have alot of chain slack to take up. If you go little ring and shift into the lower half of the cassette the length of the derailleur arm isn't long enough to wrap up all the slack. So either you have to not use little/little and...

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

I think FSA and anything they do pushes the big three to innovate. I'm of the mind that the SRAM system with Batteries on the derailleurs is the simplest system and most suited to CB design. We've had zero issues with the RED eTap system since installing them. Once the longer cage versions...

    Falling over

If HR is the limiter and you are strong because you are big; then yes you might have them clocked wrong. When you go high RPM you are get power less from strength and more from Cardio; aka HR goes up. So clocking to an OCP of 1 will et you pedal more on muscular endurance and less on cardio...

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

FWIW I fitted an 30T and with some B-screw abuse they chain wasn't sloppy loose and it worked.

If HR is your limiter, You should switch your little ring to a Rotor QXL-36T ring ... IF that doesn't solve you popping sooner than you like going up hill I'll buy it from you no questions asked and put it i the parts bin for RAAM next year; I'm going to need 5 of them anyways.. On a different...
