    front wheel change

There is actually a derailleur hanger on the S40. Here is the section of the S40 Complete 2019 Assembly Guide: But if you mean why it is a custom part instead of a standard hanger it probably has something to do with the chain stay being able to rotate and therefore needing a hanger that...

Think I'm Going to Love This

That's a pretty serious Vendetta you've got @LarryOz. It brings to mind my favourite movie: “I have been in the revenge business so long, now that it is over I do not know what to do with the rest of my life.” - Inigo Montoya from William Goldman's "The Princess Bride."

Think I'm Going to Love This

That's an average of 14,000 miles/year (22,400 km/year)! I guess spending on high end components isn't that much when you spread it over that many km. I think when my wife was on maternity leave we drove less km that year with our car!:emoji_red_car: @LarryOz, your understated comment on how...

A Wrinkle in Upgrading from Sofrider to Q45?

For this type of technical question I would suggest contacting Cruzbike directly support@cruzbike.com or call them.

    front wheel change

Changing a wheel or tire is never what I would call fun but what specifically is harder about the Cruzbike wheel change? 1. Removing the wheel, 2. Changing the tire, 3. Putting the wheel back on? All three of them have their challenges but typically: 1. is pretty similar to a diamond frame...

    Upgrade from Sofrider to Q45??

I have a QX100 (the predecessor to the Q45). I know a few things changed with the Q45, however from the assembly manual at the bottom of the Q45 page (Resources) it definitely looks as though there are still 3 seat pan positions (page 18) and now 6 seat back lean positions (page 21). Since the...

    Q559 and BOB trailer compatible??

It will be no problem. From the website information you might need spacers, 8.5-15mm per side. The reason to trim the skewer is only so that it doesn’t stick out of the nut. You wouldn’t have to trim even if you don’t need the spacers. In case you’ve never done it before, if you do trim, a...

    Q559 and BOB trailer compatible??

1/2" = 1/2 inch in NPS (Nominal Pipe Size) which means approximate pipe diameter depending on material. Sch 40 = Schedule 40, a chart giving the agreed upon dimensions from a Standard. Not sure if that applies the same all over the world.

    Q559 and BOB trailer compatible??

In North America (not sure about rest of world) this is a very rough explanation: 1/2" NPS (Nominal Pipe Size) - is the approximate pipe size - 1/2" might not be 1/2 inch in any actual dimension depending on material. Sch 40 is short for Schedule 40 - A chart in the standards that sets the...

    Q559 and BOB trailer compatible??

The Bob Yak is made out of steel so it should be able to be squeezed inwards to the axle attachments and it should be no big problem. It appears as though the special skewer may only be able to be cut down to 126 mm though so you would need some spacers if that is the case. Someone correct me...

    Q559 and BOB trailer compatible??

The rear dropout on the Q is 100 mm, standard rear is 135 mm so a difference of 35 mm so if you put a 17 mm spacer on either side outside of the rear seat stays you can then use a standard rear skewer and that should work. You could cut it from an appropriate diameter pipe or add washers to...

    front wheel change

Hi @psmatrix and Welcome! Agreed, there is (always) room for more instructions and easily found instructions for a new owner is especially important. It would be ideal to provide basic technical information and suggest forum resources as another source of technical info and personal...

    Tubeless Tire Blow-out

That's quite the hole! Glad to hear you were ok - no injuries beyond to the tire. Where was it on the tire? One thing I've always wondered is what is the mess effect of the sealant spraying out. Does it leave stickiness or any residue on the outside of the tire that you had to beware of when...
