    The Cricket

I think we need to add a sticky or add some kind of footnote to threads that have the banter to warn new, uninitiated Tribe members "beware Aussie spitting contest below"

@Crog Welly, You aren't using the nice new rims on the QX100?

Pair of 26” Disc wheels. Drive hub 130mm spacing

I'm too far away in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada but for my curiosity and more exposure, what type of riding / intended use were these built for? I wish I was closer.

Not sure I would know what to look for with respect to quality but it seemed to work fine for me. Love all these twisty turny downhills. Keep 'em coming.

Help Larry get to the World Championships and represent Cruzbike

Then we can race with/against Larry when he does the race just like Zwifters did for the Stage 1 time trial for Giro d'Italia! Three hours feeling Larry et al.s' pain.

Help Larry get to the World Championships and represent Cruzbike

Thanks Larry, that helps understand what the costs will be for you and what they would be for me if I were to ever do something similar. My estimates always turn out to be lower than reality and the actual costs end up being higher. I hope that yours are more accurate for your budget.

Help Larry get to the World Championships and represent Cruzbike

@LarryOz I'm in. I am quite sure the costs are going to be well above the 3000 that you set as your goal on GoFundMe. For those of us who it will help (us tight wads) can you share a little of what you anticipate the total costs to be (so that it is blatantly obvious that you are not just...

Can we get smaller frames and wheels?

Any possibility for a Q45 frame set? I've got lots in the parts bin and like this thread would love to build with small wheels for small riders (my kids) exposure and for portability when I travel each year. So I'll add my request for a Q45 frame set, if possible.

Can we get smaller frames and wheels?

So absolute minimum needed would be smaller wheels. Disc brakes would not require any change, higher gearing would be necessary to maintain same top speed. Anything else?

Can we get smaller frames and wheels?

Recumbent manufacturers typically sell WAY fewer frames per year. If the volume of each model were the same as for an upright you would likely see more options, models, and sizes, probably in that order because of return on investment - it takes a lot to develop and test new models and sizes...

That looks like a fantastic itinerary. I see that you've set the Cruzbike Ride Retreat date and time - super slim time! :D

    Disc Brakes for S40

I've heard two things from mechanics: -The newer BB7's / BB5's are slightly different from the original ones. BB5's in particular are sometimes complained about being poorer quality than the first ones. -Secondly, I have heard that the tolerances are exactly the same for the BB7's as for the...

Has anyone ever tried to combine Miche Primato cassette with other cassette?

STAVED, eh? @super slim If you end your trek near me you can pick up the cardboard at the end. Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We get in shipments all the time and I can put aside enough large pieces of cardboard to build a 26"*26"*10" box. You are going to look like Nemo with all the fins and a...
