    I'll just hop that curb!

The Big name brands have it about nailed, being on their 4th and 5th generation of the wheels. Reynolds is the leader, then ZIPP, (5ht gen) and then just about everyone else Bontrager, Campagnolo, DT Swiss, ENVE, Fulcrum, Mavic (4th gen) a little further behind. Reynolds and ZIPP have the...

S30 water bottle mounts and handlebar

Yes the Cruzbike one comes with the right length bolts and washers to get the cage a few mm's off the seat to allow for the clearance. On the Silvio I use a different cage ,the Lezyne Flow, because the bottom eject on train tracks and the Cruzbike ones didn't exist back then. For the boom we...

    I'll just hop that curb!

Very Nice.... Now remember that's carbon so you have to oscillate your brakes when going down hill; try to not drag on the brakes for more than three seconds. Instead Engage both so you can just barely hear them, then alternate the hard pull front/back. Front slows you down, Back keeps you...

Trying to deal with Recumbutt on Silvio 1.5

For the purpose of testing just route the cables outside the bracket. If it works you'll be cutting the fork and then the cable can go back inside the bracket.

Trying to deal with Recumbutt on Silvio 1.5

Derilleur stalk is on the bb section; so just more Chain; the derailleur cable should still work even on a 1.x. Someone with a 1.x confirm for me please.

Trying to deal with Recumbutt on Silvio 1.5

If the end is hollow and open most can but I've not personally seen that fork. Is there something you have seen with it that gives you pause? Perhaps we'll have to hear from Robert on that one.

    Squeaking on Silvio 1.5 - suggestions ?

LOL just leaving room for people to disagree without offending :) There are some places that call out a specific torque spec; and there are other clamping methods that don't use a star washer that I have seen in video; so perhaps someone has an even better idea. I prefer to just use a lot of...

Trying to deal with Recumbutt on Silvio 1.5

Given that photo and a long torso with an x-seam in the 42-43 an extension of 65-100mm would be a logical thing to try. 100mm were a stock part any thing below that is a custom part that would have to be scrounged up and made. I like the 65mm extension on our Silvio; I'm shorter but also long...

    Squeaking on Silvio 1.5 - suggestions ?

I usually tighten it hand tight until it interferes with easy steering then back it off a quarter turn. There are other theories. ;)

    Squeaking on Silvio 1.5 - suggestions ?

Verify that you can't shift the fork tube latterly where it emerges from from the frame at the top. Basically grasp the frame with your hands and push on the spacers and dust cover left and right with your thumbs. It should not move. If it does move then your star nut inside the top of the fork...

    Do it .... because

Nope, considered a Zockra, a MetaBike, and others; the carbon didn't deter me from a safety standpoint. The costs and the lack of advantages did.
