    31st annual Michigan HPV Rally - 6/13/2015 to 6/14/2015

Cool Eric ! Thanks - I am a data junkie! There is never too much data! Want to ride Waterford Speedway with me - read on... I did manage to shoot some video from my handlebars on me V20 (Don't have a mount point way out front yet for the VIRB camera. On the list of things to do before...

Front wheel covers on a Vendetta

I rode the entire 24 hours at Sebring with front and back discs. It was pretty scary at times, and I think helped wear me out a little. Since I have been back, I have done areo testing and found very little difference between a full disc and my 88mm rims on the front. Since then, I have been...

    31st annual Michigan HPV Rally - 6/13/2015 to 6/14/2015

OK, I am back from the 31st Michigan HPVA Rally. What a different experience when compared to a 12 or 24 hour event! A lot more "waiting around" than riding! :) I met fellow Cruzbikers: Eric Winn and Daryl Hanger - both riding Vendettas. All in all, I think we placed really well as the...

    31st annual Michigan HPV Rally - 6/13/2015 to 6/14/2015

    Beginners Pedaling Stroke

Slim - are you serious: 60 rpm? You didn't mean 160 and forgot the "1" by accident? 60 just seems so slow. To me pushing "any" gear, 100 rpm is much more optimal, especially for the pressure on my knee joints. :) But I know many fast cyclists, who really love to mash down in the 60 rpm ranges...

Cruzbikes may be crazy, but they aren't alone...

Wow - those guys where sure taking some falls down that snowy mountain slope! I don't think this Cruzbiker is "that" crazy - no - I am pretty sure. Just slightly crazy. :) Thanks fro sharing that Jeffrey. How's the V treating you? - and how are you treating it! :)

Did I buy the right bike? I think so. Help me make sure

Your top speed will possibly only be limited to how much you want to be sweating when you get to work!;)

That is good to hear! We tall everybody the same thing. Stick with it and you will be pleased. It is amazing how many do not! Glad you did! Well Done!

    Vendetta vs others

Very well said. The fear never really leaves you (especially if you crash every so often) - you just have to keep pushing the envelope of what is possible. I rode in a local Century last weekend over here in the mountains of NC. There was a group of about 2 dozen DF's that were leading the...

    Vendetta vs others

Ratz proved it: You don't need more gears, you just need more power! (and the right color too I guess)

    Vendetta vs others

So, or your TT effort: you just need to pretend your going up a 12% grade with the wrong gears. Then you'll smoke it. :)

    Handlebar Aerodynamic testing (V20)

Yes, to a point. I have a CF "China made Zipp knock-off" when the cross section of the handlebar looks like an airplane wing. I think the thing to remember is the design of whatever you have must be mostly to the function of what it is to do. I made my own "quiver" to go on the back on my...

Who would like a: Cruzbike Fantasy TT Series??????

Scott, For the short TT's (1, 5, 10K), I will ride on a local track. My procedure: I set my Garmin on "Metric" so I can see the actual metric distance as I ride. Start the Garmin I warm up good for at least least 15 minutes, either on the road or the track (warm-up good, especially for these...

    Handlebar Aerodynamic testing (V20)

Yes Joe, I have considered it, but I am trying to build the bike so it will be a legal "non-faired" recumbent for UMCA record attempts. I don't want to get stuck into the "faired" category if you know what I mean. Then I have to compete with everything else that is much faster. I will construct...
