    Considering shorter cranks advice wanted.

As far as I know those aren't made any more below 165mm. Hence out of stock. Below 165mm now only available in 3d+ which are bb30 and the future. But BB30 won't work, I got it really really close. @Robert Holler and I would have been smiling ear to ear if I had been able to make it work. So we...

    Considering shorter cranks advice wanted.

Here are a couple starter items to consider 1) 165mm is the shortest you will find in stock configuration that are compatible with the bike 2) Sub 165mm requires custom modified cranks in most cases aka bikesmithdesign.com or similar. 3) Sub 165mm will have an integrated spider and in all cases...

Still waiting on mine to arrive but based on what you did I clearly picked the wrong mounting brackets.

    Q ring plunge and install

Looks good that would be equivalent to an OCP #2 install. Which should be pretty optimal with that long Chainstay.

    Relative Speed

Robert your timing appears perfect. This might be the rare custom build that mets both of your needs. I was going to steer you towards a Turbo quest build but the photo on the old thread where the build of this very bike was documented were broken. And here it it the next day up for sale by...

Quest Q559 - Reasonable offers entertained - Scottsbluff, NE

Bummer Colin, been down that road and recovered, but took long enough to be worrisome. For those reading along that's a Turbo Quest exactly the way I'd build it. Drool.... If we weren't moving and having to pay movers this bike would have gotten me in trouble with Mrs Ratz.... Whoever gets...

Probably should mention too that Veloviewer.com is nice for drilling into Strava data. And Chrome Strava Users really need to install StravistiX plugin.

Keeping the drills fresh and fun

Ok this will officially be the most boring video I've ever posted. No need to watch this one. But if you want to know what the Power 8's and Ivans look like to get a sense of the scale and speed to do them; then this might help. It's gun camera footage from my Silvio and it's shot at night in...

    Relative Speed

Given that extra data. You would be a prime candidate for a Used Silvio 1.5 or Silvio 2.0; that's a budget way to get into them with less risk. The Quest is that bike that you can Tweak to be really fast or very utility. The Silvio is quick no matter what and can be rigged to carry a lot of...

    Relative Speed

Hi Robert, Well it's Relative but you knew that :) The Quest will compete fine with the Fuji and hold it's own; the Silvio and Vendetta will be faster in that order. My general guess is that this would occurs for most riders at by the mid-point to the end of their first full season of riding...

Keeping the drills fresh and fun

The hills looks good. The incline starts right on a corner so you can coast into it; and power out of it to attack looks like it will be a 25-35second hill which is nice; also prevents you from carrying too much steam into it. On that layout. Hopefully no stop lights or other interference...
