    "The New Silvio is Coming"

LOL, that's what I get for thinking out loud. :) Now that you mention it, I think I remember that change... The new chainstay iteration has been hinted at for some time. Check any V20 thread with @ratz as a commentor. He's sneaky that way.

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Probably just photoshopped out for that pic due to something in the background they didn't want to show. The 360 view shows two eyelets (one on either side) on the rear main-tube. I wonder if that is simply a pre-production thing or...? I imagine that some braking systems may need a cable exit...

Perhaps you could get by with one of these? :D

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Looks very nice! Pretty close to what I (and several others) were postulating. I think there will always be room for a suspended Cruzbike. The Q series provides a lot of bang for the buck. However, it wouldn't surprise me to see that (expensive) front fork go away. It doesn't really provide...

    V20 max tire size

I'm currently running "Thickslick" 700c X 28 tires. Actual width (inflated to 95psi) is almost exactly 30mm. Clearance to the fork crown is 2mm. Clearance to the forks is a much more substantial 5mm (estimated) per side. Rims are Velocity "Deep V". I also have a pair of Vittorio Rubino 700c X...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Helicopters (my day job) are works of the devil.  However, considering the front end is incognito...maybe they've added a Vivax e-drive. http://www.vivax-assist.com/en/product/vivax-assist/vivax-assist_4-0.php How cool would that be? Cheating, just like in the TDF! ;)

Anyone using a curved slider "upside down"?

Here she is from last Sunday's run...after removing and replacing curved slider. V20 by trapdoor2 posted May 26, 2017 at 2:14 PM

I also use a std. bike stand, clamp around the slider, etc. I put my rear wheel up on a folding chair...only because it is convenient.

Puncture Proof Tyres on a Quest

I believe the RIMar dc-17 wheels are 559s...and clinchers. Looking at the Tannus site, it appears that they only offer the "City/All Terrain" tire in that specific size.

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

Got it. Thanx! Surly makes some great stuff...which I have on my Raleigh single-speed. It had enough dropout room to not need an idler. Same for the V2/k. The T50 is gonna need that idler...going on order.

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Interesting. Another thing I noticed is that the wheelbase appears to have been extended.

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

The eyelet appears to be for internal routing of a brake cable...but it isn't being used in this picture. Just thinking a bit out of the box...maybe an 'additional' internal routing point for controlling something else...tilt stop maybe? There's an odd boss or mount right under the seat tube...

    "The New Silvio is Coming"

Well...it appears to have a 700x32 mounted. The knobby tires have me thinking along the lines of a '29er'. Looks like a welded on tab for a rear rack too. Just thinking about the changes in the product lines...the "Q" offers suspension for those who want such things. I think the original intent...

I prefer my head to be a bit more vertical than your "set up" picture shows. Looking over the bars, I can just see the front chainrings, my big damn feet, etc. Once you get your FD sorted out, you'll stop focusing on the front end and start looking down the road (and at the scenery, etc.). The...

Neophyte in need of Vendetta V20 setup help...

LOL, I had to revisit the SRAM YAW video just this past Sunday when I re-configured my V20. I had very similar issues with 'brifters' in that I'd been riding a twist-grip shifter for the previous 15 yrs...prior to that my shifters were all on the downtube (1960's Schwinn "Varsity"). It took me a...

Anybody using a disc brake on the front wheel of new V20?

Well, if you read this entire thread, you'd see that the only issue with disc brakes is when you attempt to put a 160mm brake on the rear...that's when you get into weld interference issues (minor). There are some issues with splined discs (as I recall) but I've got 6-bolt discs on mine, 160 up...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Disassembled the front end Sunday morning, removed Large chainstay replaced with Std. My Xseam was right in the middle between large and standard, so I flipped a coin and bought it with a large. Having ridden it that way since August, I have lost a good bit of weight and size. Lost a couple...

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

I intend to install an Alfine 8sp on my T50. I do expect to encounter issues with tensioning the chain; probably will require a separate tensioner (which are reasonably easy to find). The drop outs are not designed for chain tensioning and as has been mentioned, the chainstay is fixed moving the...

Anyone using a curved slider "upside down"?

LOL, I have been running the 'upside down' slider for almost a year...and this weekend took it off. I wanted to experiment with a standard chainstay...which put the handlebars way up in the air with the curved slider. Not enough room to run it 'rightside up', so I went back to a straight one...
