I hope Larry shouted "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!" as he passed 'em. Of course, if he got an "Oi, Oi, Oi!" back, he would certainly have to step it up...'cause we know what an Aussie can do when he's amped up! :)

Reminds me of an old tune by The Playboys: "Beep Beep!" (aka, The Little Nash Rambler). I can see Larry passing folks and asking them, "Hey buddy, how do I get this bike out of 2nd gear?" Beep! Beep!

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Or...someone like me who never lubes their chain. The chain on my Catrike lasted 10+ yrs...about 2000 miles. The only reason I replaced it was that I hadn't ridden it in years and when I tried to do so...over half of the links were rusted together. The V20 is the first bike I've ever...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Yah, I have a gallon of Simple Green here...chose to go with what I thought was a mild petroleum distillate. It worked (chains got OEM stuff off) but I won't use it again. I hope to have the chain off my V2/k this weekend. I'll clean it using SG and compare.

Totally amazing. 5 radio antennas? Glad everyone is still safe. Roll on, roll on!

Looks like the Technosis trackers are back online today. I don't understand what each of the 4 are actually tracking though. The text flags on them are too small for me to read.

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

LOL. I remember having to scrub mold out of a tiny space above the baggage compartment of a Bell 206 helicopter. The baggage compt. was just big enough for me (5-11, 180lbs back then) to sit in x-legged with one arm up thru an inspection panel. I had an open bucket of toluene between my legs and...

What do you mean by 402? T402 = Crownmead Homes?

Yah, if the tracker is with the car...no telling where the bikes are in relation to that. I would expect the car to pace the riders, esp. at night!

    Ok, moving again. 14.5mph.

I finally found the RAAM tracking site which has the team numbers you've been talking about. Cruzbike appears stopped at parking lot in WCP. German women are well past TS17 and tracking above 40mph

How are you tracking them? I get nothing from the 3000 mi to a cure site. There are four "tracking" windows from "Technosis" but none of them appear to be functioning.

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Thx! Good to know. I bought this stuff at Wally-world (suddenly remembering I needed a solvent, etc.) ...not knowing it was anything but what it said on the container "Mineral Spirits". Now that I've looked at the MSDS, I find it is an emulsion of water and MS. "Friendlier" It worked...

    Fun new accessories!

Yah, I got my Moose Pack on Friday. Spent some time yesterday trying to figure out what to do with that single rear strap. If I loop it around the lower-rear brake mount, it is too long to effectively use the Velcro (IOW, the strap is loose). There is barely enough room between the mount and the...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Waxed my first chains yesterday. Process was no big issue. Discovered that "mineral spirits" from Wal-Mart are some sort of milky eco-concoction...no longer the "mineral spirits" of my youth. They did the job...but not as good as the old stuff. Next time I will look for the 'good stuff' or just...

Cracked seat back on early Quest

I probably wouldn't feel them in normal ops. either. I would be worried about hitting a pothole or something.

LOL. "Not fast..." and you're running 40+mph. Once, I exceeded 30mph for about 10 sec. :confused:o_O:)

Cracked seat back on early Quest

Wow. I would figure out some way to get rid of those elastic stop nuts on the 'sitting' side of the seat. A pan-head bolt (similar to the ones already in use) is going to be much better on your back!
