    Q2 front shock rebuild?

Thanks for posting that Super Slim! Nice to get a better idea of what's inside. Mine is from a G2 Sofrider, and cannot be looked into from the top. So, a bit older design, I guess. There is a plug (star-fangled nut, I think) in the top with a piece of running thread secured into it that makes an...

    Q2 front shock rebuild?

They were made by "Kind", I believe. They are still around and making shock seat-posts. They don't seem to have any info on this fork. I googled "kind headset shock". I put the screws back in. Something else is obviously holding mine in the proper orientation, as I rode 10 miles with the screws...

    Q2 front shock rebuild?

Mine must be rusted solid, or something. I actually did remove those screws, and nothing moved at all. I actually test rode it very carefully, and then went out for a longer ride. My shock has never moved when on the bike. I had it apart once, and was able to compress the spring. Curious. Now I...

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

I have found that having the seat a bit further back is offset by the more upright upper-torso on a seat of this shape. Also, if you look at the Silvio and Vendetta, their seats are that far aft.

Short leg Short Boom mod Quest/QX100 Option 1: Shorten Boom and Slider

I would move the seat forward a inch, if possible. If the boom were much shorter than it is, they would have really poor traction. Even just a block of foam behind the hips would do.

Helmet for Casual, Everyday Riding: Yes or No?

Yes! The inexpensive helmets at Walmart/Target are just as safe as the expensive ones. Just a touch less fancy. ;)

mountain bike riser-bars might also be an option, if you do'n mind flat bars. The rise will help clear your knees.

    T50 seat advice needed

I would just use an old aluminum crutch, or something. Seat struts can be made from all sorts of things.

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

I would use flat bars with the stem attached just forward of the pivot-clamp on the upper tube.

That front-end looks really clean and nice with those scooter clamps! Very nice mod, indeed. :)

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

Back in the Freerider days of yore, the handlebars were attached to the boom via an adjustable stoker stem. You could do something similar on the T50.

You could use a fiberglass/carbon shell seat and fashion your own mounting points.

T50 - The Parts Piddle Thread

It shouldn't make any significant difference, beyond greater padding. It is a nice foam, because it is almost "gel" like, but fairly supportive. The open-cell foam should be able to compress enough to fit the extra pad in.

T50 - The Parts Piddle Thread

Here's a suggestion to improve the seat comfort. I went to Walmart and found a stadium seat cushion made of some extra squishy, supple foam. It actually feels pretty flesh-like. Much more so than the stiffer foam layer in the old seats. It was large enough to cut a pad out of that matched the...

T50 - The Parts Piddle Thread

I have been wondering why the extension tube vs long steerer design as well?

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

Yes. But why is there is an extension tube at all? Why not a 2 foot steerer? Then we could do this.
