The only thing I would to change on the S40 is the seat. It would be cool if it came pre-installed with the adjustable carbon fiber seat. The drivetrain groupset, wheelset e.t.c can always be changed by the user.

If you like climbing steep grades and would like to use the 1x drivetrains then, I suggest atleast a 1:1 gear ratio at the lower end or even less. The reason is that there is no "off saddling" on a recumbent. You can "bridge" for a short time(5 - 10 seconds) but extended climbs need a good low...
