Any suggestions for a part number for a replacement brake pad for the RideRever mechanical disk brake on an S40???

Art, The Shimano style should work - note that "normal" brake pads have a thicker backing plate than the stock ones - so it might be the case that with the replacement pads you need to leave the "heat sink" (questionable if this even works) out and not use it. The thickness of most pad backing...

Tire pressure and wobble over 32mph

This can happen sometimes if you have a tire that is not fully seated in the bead of the rim at one area. It might be hard to see in general - that might be something to check out. Robert

Is the V20 aluminum frame no longer being sold?

The main frame is still aluminum - just the front end is CF. But yes the older all-aluminum front end V20 is not being made at this time...

    ChatGPT's poem about V20

You can ask Bing AI "What can you tell me about the cyclist Maria Parker" and you will get a bio with more information on her race records, etc than most people would ever be able to easily Google. It is so much better - IMHO Google searching is just about obsolete on its own now... as long as...

T50 vs Q45 as Faster Road Build

An aftermarket shock would probably be needed on the Q45, but weight should be OK for the frame especially the Q45. I would say the limiting factor might be the resin seat more than the frame. Robert

T50 vs Q45 as Faster Road Build

The T50 frame is a faster frame than the Q45, but has the slower front end and also slower 26" wheels stock. The Q45 shares the front end with the S40 and pre carbon V20, but has a much heavier frame but has larger 650b wheels... In 100% stock form on a smooth road? The T50 will be a bit...

V20 conversion from narrow 700mm wheels to wide 26"

The V20 crown race (and all crown races) are specific to the bearing. The V20 has an integrated headset - meaning there are no "cups" to go into the head tube - the races for the bearings are built into the tube itself. This is minimalist design (not my fave) and the new V20C finally abandons...

    Ride Together 2023

I have been messaging with Paul through this especially in the early stages and it is absolutely horrible to be losing this great friend I was lucky enough to make.

Does anyone else have a design Wishlist for the next model of Q series?

This is a good concept for a double stand - which is an item that I tried to work on for the stock bike for a few years to no avail. As you mentioned - the frame is too high and all attempts to create a workable stand were either insane expensive, heavy, way too long, could not collapse properly...

I pedaled today: Question on foot steering

For me, I mainly think of "steering" with my feet, while also not allowing my upper body to be so out of sync with what is happening that the front end wavers. There is a balance of both for sure. Once you become very smooth at the pedal strokes that is when you can actually ride hands free...

    Easy Assembly Question: Grease

WD-40 is the scourge of hardware store/society - definitely don't use it on anything especially on a bike chain/bolts/etc. Only use it for water displacement/Atlas Missile corrosion if you have one.

    Easy Assembly Question: Grease

Any plain thread grease is good - does not necessarily need to be a "bike" branded kind. I have used Vaseline in a pinch before - just a tiny bit needed.

    Self-Supported Bike Camping on a Silvio 2.0?

Whatever you do, DONT add a "rear rack" to this bike with a lot of weight. It was not designed for that type of thing given the amount that the rear can flex - not only up and down a bit for the rear spring-arm, but side to side if it were to have a bunch of weight added to it. On those rear...

A Wrinkle in Upgrading from Sofrider to Q45?

Unfortunately there are no records of SN's for the bikes - they are totally random and usually on the BB shell from the factory that makes the shells. As far as specs - that can be tricky on a second owner bike if someone possibly changed a component, etc. The last handful of years nailing an...

The V20C fork has internal cabling so that is where the holes come from. The aluminum forks do not. Under ANY and ALL circumstances please please please - never ever ever ever ever drill holes in a fork or frame - on any bike of any brand - either for access for wiring or any other reason.
