The new clamp is much thicker and broader than the old one - also not round. We would have to look at that - a redesign of it might be able to lower it a that point about 1cm or so... which would of course mean an even lower than that of the handlebars. It could also be made that it would fit...

Trust me this is a real headache for me as well. Bike parts and "groups" are becoming more like iPhones and that is a real headache. Especially as an OEM, where we cannot simply order bunches of spare components - both because we aren't allowed to and also because it makes no financial sense...

Given the design of the tube and the clamp and headset used - it is already as low as it can get. Maybe the thin spacer the sits there could be removed but that is like 2mm max. We do have a curved slider for it that would likely do the trick, or longer chain stay could also bring the bars lower.

I have a message in to our rep to see about this. The Chosen hubs are used on A LOT of bikes (they get branded a lot as other's hubs) so it is possible there are others that can fit. Ill post what turns up...

The boom on the front end is long from the factory to allow for a long X-seam fit. For some shorter X-seams it can be necessary to cut off some of the boom, as the end of the tube will butt up against the threaded inserts in the slider when inserted far in. Only cut off as much as is needed...

You can go all the way in or out (but not too far out to disengage the threads) and this will set the amount of preload for the shock when you sit on it.
