Rocker suspension to replace rear wheel

In the UK the refuse lorries have two back axles. On the rearmost one the wheels steer. Should not be that hard to implement on non-drive wheels.

    Vendetta for an S40?

This 56-year-old has to listen to COPD, and that shouts loud. You are probably way faster than me, even on a Silvio. Even on an incorrectly assembled Chinese mountain-bike.

    Cruztrike???

    I prefer rocker boogie.

We did it! We donated to buy an S40 for Ak-Tux!

I cut the boom on my Silvio. Big improvement. If someone wants your old bike, they could cut their legs.

I think that super slim is talking about a Fremen still-suit.

Too big or too small for Cruzbike? Check the Chart. Take the Poll.

Green. I got a conversion kit because it was the cheapest way to experiment. I thought that if I could ride that I could ride any type of CB. I managed to ride that thing but it was a fight. I thought that was because of a bad choice of donor frame, so I took a punt on the Silvio. How did I...

    S40 Sold Out

Does it snow in Tasmania? What about the extreme east of Ozzie, am I wrong or is it wet there? At least I do not have scorpions sleeping in my shoes.

    S40 Sold Out

Loads of stuff shoots up behind the wheels. Behind the front wheel the frame gets splattered. On my Silvio, before I had mudguards, the underseat bag got soaked. On a DF my back gets splattered. At least on a bent the seat stops that. A bag above the back wheel gets splattered. On DF or...

    S40 frameset build options...

Bottom gear on my 11sp cog is 42t and I have a 40t chainwheel. Does me fine, up some steep slopes. I can balance at about 3mph. On the steepest hill, if the road is wet I get a bit of wheel-spin. Any steeper and I think the wheel-spin would stop me, not the effort required. And I have COPD...

Why are new bikes so heavy?

Responsiveness is a function of frame stiffness. In the old days my rim brake cables always seemed to be either too tight or not tight enough. I was always adjusting them. And then the blocks would wear and I would replace them and it was so hard to adjust them and they would rub the tyre...

Why are new bikes so heavy?

I have gained a lot more than that. I have to stop eating all these disk brakes and DI2 components.

    S40 Sold Out

These days, my Silvio seems to fit me like a glove. Damn fast, for someone with COPD, and in the parks and traffic jams it has better handling than the Grasshopper, but it took an awful lot of misery to reach this happy state. I had to use terrible temporary gears for ages until I got a very...

Battle of the Brands - Bike Sebring 2020

I second that. Seeing double!! And benphyr is not the only one who is intrigued. All the bits swapped over in 20 minutes? Gears, cranks, brakes? I bet the cables are not fed through the frame, anyway. Lots of people would have chucked in the towel at that point. I never even picked the...

Flying the Flag without the drag

My Claud Butler had 6 gears, all really high, close ratio. I was on the biggest two cogs almost all the time. That is the way to climb Muswell Hill. Character-building. That was before the COPD got me. All those years ago, CB made classic bikes. Now - different shape, different metal, but...

Dawes off-road in the mud in Wales. Sounds like cyclo-cross.
