    Upgrading models to Sofrider V2

John, Are you going to build another run of SR V2s? :( Mark

    Silvio Weight

Gino, A lot depends on the gruppo and the wheelset you put on it. I think most guys are coming in ~25# range. My bike has pretty heavybuilt wheels and comes in around 28. It certainly doesn't feel or ride like a 28 poud bike, I was surprised. Mark

Poll: What Tires RU Running and What Have U Tried?

You pretty much know my story; 700x25 Gatorskins, running 90# in the front and 110# in the run. It changed the handling slightly, but no speed drop-off and seems to grip better on climbs. Mark

    sofrider to silvio, worth it?

Hi Reid, Pictures of the Silvio are deceptive. The bike is much more compact than it appears. The first time I laid eyes on Jack's, I couldn't believe how small and compact it really was. It was designed for road bars and brifters, so they are an easy reach. The recent trend has been to use...

    Touch-up Paint

I have a few dings in the paint in the same areas, so I would be interested in some touch up paint, as well. Mine are minor enough you can't see them normally, but I know they're there. Mark

it is not a cruzship :-(

Congrats, Jon, on getting in your longest ride. Sounds like it was quite the adventure! Are you riding yet with that recumbent club, or working up to it? Mark

Stuart’s Red V2 Softrider (well almost).

I wonder what would have happened if you had a roll of duct tape? Glad you're having fun with your bike! Mark

    Silvio: Campagnolo Veloce/Comp Triple

That's a fine looking bicycle, Doug. Those Origin 8 bars are the shizzle, I tells ya. Funny story; the other day, some racers came rolling into the coffee shop and my bike caught their eye. They actually stopped and checked it out. The Origin 8 bar was what originally got their attention...

    Silvio newcomer

Welcome, Dave! Yes, it all gets easier with time in the saddles. Steep uphill starts are trickiest, but as more of us experiment and try different things, we're learning tons about these bikes. You are correct, it is a fast little bike and tons of fun! Mark

Getting Going: Learning to Ride a Cruzbike in a Week

Nice report, Peter and congrats. It sounds like you're taking a workman's approach to mastering the bike, but the rewards will be immense. I'd be willing to bet that once you get a 'puter on your Silvio, you'll discover you're going much faster than you think. I know that was the case for me...

    Best tires for Silvio?

Jack, I've run Gatorskins for quite awhile on different bikes and never had sidewall issues. I think they're a pretty robust tire. I did get a flat the other day, but it was a shard of brown glass that would have flatted just about anything. I like them real well. Mark

    Silvio frameset for sale

Man..... I wish I was in position to grab this. I know it seems greedy and maybe slightly sinful, but I wouldn't mind having a second Silvio to set up as a commuter. Somebody better jump on this really quick! Mark

    Silvio hill climbing

Great report, Harold. Loved reading it. I agree about the increased power pulling yourself forward in the seat. Don't take this the wrong way, but, one thing I dislike about some of the other recumbent websites is roadie bashing. They're just riders, too and the thing you need to remember...

    Great Silvio reactions!

+1, lots of positive comments. I even get them from roadies, if they take the time to stop and look at the bike. Mark
