At least the old Silvios have a bit of Ti in the suspension.

    It has became normal

It takes a long time for everybody to learn the uphill starts. If you have been a leg-shaver on your DF it will feel frustrating riding your brakes downhill at 15mph. Steep climb is good because you can do the watts without the wobblies. Do the mileage, and your speed-limit will increase, and...

Do not use motor oil. Bad for your skin.

Lightness. Another reason for having a single chainwheel. On a Cruzbike, less weight swinging around at the front makes it easier to steer. And everybody is right, Your it does look deadly cool with the orange bits, which are exactly the same colour as the Cruzbike logo.

I got XX1 cog. It did not fit until I added a washer on the drive-side end of the axle. More ratios are always welcome, but I think 12sp is wider so it would not fit my forks. I think the new Silvios have wider forks. I have a bar end friction shifter. It did not pull enough cable so I got...

Commuting is the way to train the bike.

    Hand fatigue

Leg-fatigue without hand-fatigue. When that happens you know the bike has learnt how to behave.

Another single-ringer. Great minds think alike. My lowest gear is lower than yours. There are some hills that I can barely climb. Do you go up any really steep slopes?

    It has became normal

I agree. Now, when I am riding my bike, I think it is normal. Nobody else does.

    Hand fatigue

If the bike steers, your leg goes sideways. What you are trying to do is apply enough force to prevent this. This is hardly any force at all. If your legs do actually go out sideways you will still be wobbling the bike. If you can get the bike to stay straight your knees will not be stressed.

    Hand fatigue

Look at the speed-skaters in the Olympics. Their legs go outwards each time they take a step. If it is difficult coordinating it, practise by doing it with a low cadence.

    Crash

I taught myself to do it sideways at home and recently I successfully did it in the street. Oo-er! Your front tyre will get a puncture eventually. Teach yourself to do it at home, or get solid tyres. What it needs is magnets in the dropout and chainstay.

    Hand fatigue

Maybe your brain just needs more miles. I suddenly discovered I can do no-hands. Gets a bit scary above 14mph. Maybe you need to change the hand-position. I was moving the boom and the BB so much I could have been a trombonist, and I tried several handlebars, and even cut some, until I got a...

Be careful taking corners. On the straight you can see what is ahead.

Someone from Adelaide is talking about freezing. Right now a bit of heat would not go amiss.
