    Sheared rear shock attachment piece

That air spring is clever. Where did you get it? Is it totally sealed or do you pump it, like the front one? How long before the rubber deteriorates?

    1X Drivetrain

4000 miles and no chain-drop. And I have a home-made bar-end friction shifter. According to Sram there are two things that stop chain-drop. One is the clutch. The other is the wide-narrow ring. They say it has to be easy for the chain to jump off a double because this makes it easy to...

You Know You Are a Cruzbiker When...

A car overtakes and a hand holding a phone pokes out. I see this a lot, on both my bikes. Yesterday I was on the Silvio and a car overtook really close and a woman leant out really far and screeched really loudly right in my earhole. Shook me badly, but the bike did not wobble, did not...

Q45 - Has anyone tried Sram Eagle GX 10-50?

When I got a Grasshopper with a Rohloff I said I was never going back to Disraeli gears, but Rohloff does not fit my Silvio's forks. Luckily soon after I got the Silvio I discovered XX1, so at least I am saved from those horrible front rings. All else being equal, it is always nice to get more...

So the best thing for Froome to do is get fat, or borrow a backpack from a member of the Marines.

Hi! New To Cruzbikes & Trying to Decide.

At least you can still sell them. The best upright I ever had was a Claud Butler, made when the company was still independent. It got stolen. All I had left was the lock, and that was cut. Tweaking, don't talk to me about tweaking! But this is a bike that is worth the long tweaking process.

When you stuff the underseat bag until the zip is nearly bursting and hang bags on the bars and say you will definitely, definitely look on this forum at all the rack threads and topbox threads, and in the shed you have a forlorn-looking Grasshopper with the biggest Radical bags that can do a...

Hi! New To Cruzbikes & Trying to Decide.

Electra website says the Loft is a lightweight Al commuter. So is my Silvio. Loft. That is where it will end up, when you get a Cruzbike.

Hi! New To Cruzbikes & Trying to Decide.

I am on the border of London and Essex in the UK. I commute on my Silvio2. I use it to go shopping. I ride in central London. I ride off-road. No problem. They do like to give a new rider a hard time and show off when everybody is looking, but they soon calm down and behave themselves. I...

    Handle bar roundup

This is mine. Inverted Crononero with one bar-end shifter, because I have a single chainwheel. Watch out with the "mountain" and "road" palaver. Mountain means the tube is narrower, road is wider. The handlebar clamp will not grip mountain bars. Mountain shifters and levers will not fit...
