How do people safely lock their Cruzbikes?

@Rampa The one I was thinking of was actually called Pitlock. And this article seems to have a good general collection of information on this type of wheel security devices out there...

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

We're going off on an important tangent, so I've moved it over to https://cruzbike.com/forum/threads/how-do-people-safely-lock-their-cruzbikes.11360/

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

Wow, good eyes. I thought I looked carefully and never noticed any of them! (and for new eyes, the ones holes under the seat are for water bottle cages)

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

Hi Rampa, Maybe I am missing what you are meaning but here goes: I think that for the most part the Moving Bottom Bracket (MBB) format causes enough confusion in the general bike population to cause a thief to move on to something else. (Unless you have wheels that scream out $1000) the...

    THE NEW Q IS COMING

Start saving, it looks to be worth saving for. And unless I am way out to lunch, all those who want to try out Cruzbike will soon be able to for less as all of the adventure series (Conversion Kit, Sofrider, Quest, QX100) are about to drop in price as the market floods with those upgrading.

    Sofrider on Tacx Neo

Hi Cliff, A search for Tacx Neo finds all sorts of stuff but I was sure that I saw someone switched the feet in order to make it fit a Cruzbike better. Check out post 577 @billyk below and see if that helps your situation...

Electric conversion to a Quest 451

I thought I read somewhere that some types of hub motors allow free wheeling when not engaged or have very little (like a free hub) friction when disengaged. Here's my pros/cons for front mid-motor: Pro: -motor weight is non-rotational so acceleration and deceleration will be easier for...

    Q 451 v2 assembly question

I found that clipped in was a huge boost to riding, helps with balance and power and getting weary of trying to hold feet on the pedals. That being said, I was relatively comfortable riding on an upright clipped in. What I did was back off the tension adjustment all the way on the mountain...

MBB on a diet (9 kilograms)

On the fly - does that mean like the folding wings on some of those fighter jets? Or would you have to stop to adjust? Of course fighter jets do go faster but their fuel consumption is awful and they just cost too much to have sitting around in the driveway.

You must be that powerful. Technology is never wrong :p Did the neighbour appreciate the extra tilling in his garden?

Kit Needed...I know, the impossible dream!

Hi John, Welcome! Where are you located? My avatar is a conversion kit from a small Trek frame - works pretty well. (It might help to put "Conversion Kit" in the title, just for clarification. Some people call the stuff they wear "kit". I'm just getting used to that terminology.) Cheers, Ben.

    S40- Wow!

Maybe I missed it, are they exactly the same wheels right down to hub, rim, spokes, rotors, and calipers with only different tires? Sounds wonderful to be able to swap terrain. Kind of like winter tires on the car, but even easier! Though I guess you might not know about that in CA=California...

    Ouch

There's the problem and solution all in one: tubeless rim converted to regular rim - just add tube! :p In this case would a tube setup have saved you the wipeout, rim damage, flat, loss of control, ? I'm asking not having any experience with anything tubeless but I have gotten flats and...

    Cruztrike???

Great connection made Rod! It would look a little more like a penny farthing! On a technical note, the connection would need to be at the same angle as a front fork- at least roughly - for the tilting to function for us. It would not be plug-and-play to the rear of a Cruzbike. Standard...

Thank you for sharing this link. This company looks very impressive. Another in the small realm of recumbent clothing specialists and clothing made in Canada!

Has anyone tried a CruzBike "fixie?"

That's not an evolutionary step? More like an evolutionary pole jump. Or a human-guided multi-step process in creation and design of a whole new animal! Who says genetic engineering is bad? Works for Cruzbikes! Maybe hoo-mans are a little different animals. ;)
