    Curved Slider or not

Just my opinion here, but I think the 21.5" is the way to go. I will give you more of the position that you are after, without running too much risk of taking it too far. Years ago I tried a longer chainstay that ended up putting the boom horizontal. The handling was pretty terrible--feet too...

    Tight right angle turns v20c

Yup, those are the two things that I do: unclip my inside foot and sit up. If it's a higher speed turn, momentum will usually carry me through. But if it's a slow speed maneuver, I will shift into an easy enough gear that I can turn the crank with the foot that is still clipped in to pull me...

    Curved Slider or not

Yes, back when I needed shorter chainstays, I contacted CB directly. They created and sent an invoice for payment and set up shipping.

Sold. Adjustable headrest for V20, V20c, S40, for shorter riders. Free.

I was having a little trouble a while back sorting out the stock headrest that came with my V20. I bought this adjustable headrest to be able to make various changes until I found my headrest sweet spot. It worked, and I was able to replicate that spot with the stock headrest, which I prefer a...

Original dimension Drop bar on S40

Hello Bixente, Many riders use and like the Cowchipper. While I don't use it myself, I have heard that it is fairly similar to the original Cruzbike bar. I use the Genetic Digest Flared Drop Bar (yeah, I don't understand the weird brand name either, but I like the bar). It comes in a 44cm...

v20 vs v20c Initial Look and Comparison

After seven years on a V20, I pulled the trigger on one of the first V20c's to come out. Like you, I had fiddled quite a lot with that V20 until I got the fit right for me (at not quite 5'5", I had to figure out how to make it a shorter person's bike). But I learned a lot with all that...

Greatest Fear Overcome - CruzBikes are not that hard to ride

I'd say, if you don't need the money from selling it, and you have the space to store it, keep it for a year and see what happens. If it gets used, cool; worth keeping. If a year goes by and it doesn't move, then probably sell it.

    SRAM APEX GPX BB

You have an older style of chainstay, with two bands that clamp around the bb cups. The outer shape of the bb cups needs to match the inner shape of the clamping bands. Since the bands are square, the bb cups need to be square as well so that the bands have a proper clamping surface. Wheels...

    SRAM APEX GPX BB

Mark is correct. Wheels Manufacturing bb cups are square, not tapered, and the 24/22mm bearing diameters are for SRAM GPX cranks. Shimano runs 24/24mm bearings. If it weren't for that slight difference, the two brands would be cross-compatible.

    Curved Slider or not

Nice looking ride! Looking at the photo, you are a candidate for the longer chainstay, which would put your bars a little lower. You are correct to point out that the lower bottom bracket that you have now does offer a bit more ease of use, at a slight price speedwise. If you think that you...

Seeking Recommendations for a Top-notch Direct Drive Indoor Trainer for V20 and V20c

Coming in from left field here... Thirty-whatever years ago, before wheel-off smart trainers, computer apps, and Cruzbike, I relied on my music library by ripping 60-minute trainer CDs, with each song carrying a steady beat that led to a cadence ranging from 80 to 110 rpm. For the "slower"...

    Japanese Odyssey with a S40

Well, there is one thing AI gets right as it tries to imitate humans... how to use a lot of words to say just about nothing. That this bot has confused the S40 with a car model gives me hope.

Cross-Training Bent & Upright - Better, Worse, or Neutral?

Eight years ago, my back could no longer take it on my diamond frame road bike. I switched to the V20 and that became my only road bike. I still rode upright for mtn. biking and an occasional gravel ride. My lower back pain completely went away because of the V, and I figured my days on a...
