    Front wheel skewer springs

No springs needed on the front - if anything they can get all jammed in there between the stay and the fork - better to just toss them. On the competes I no longer have them included.

    Changing a front tire on a V20

Having the front come apart is not as shocking as it should be - IMHO I always pop it apart so I can then set the bike on the forks upright. This can only happen if the stay is unattached otherwise you would bend the hanger. On every bike (recumbent or otherwise) I always encourage practice...

    New Q45 coming....

We are planning on this - but bear with us as we have to get everything made and here as far as the "extras." Manufacturing and shipping has been hammered and taking a toll on the entire bike industry. But we will eventually have these available.

    New S40 owner

Hey all. In general the front end on a V20, S40, or Q45 are not compatible with "wheel on" trainers - ideally you need a direct drive trainer and use the stock Cruzbike wheel skewer. The wheel-on train will have an awkward spread when it is tightened, given the added width of our front end. Robert

    V20 vs S40 handle bars

The old bars (cant remember the year exactly...) are silver and are indeed different. Robert

    front wheel change

Part of keeping the front end together is just holding the front end close to the pivot clamp, and if it comes undone - not panicking. :-)

    front wheel change

Lots of factors can make a wheel change harder or easier depending on the dropout design, proximity of other mounts, etc etc. I don't find a Cruzbike front wheel particularly harder than some other recumbents. The derraieur you use has an impact too. The SRAM stock one we use has a cage lock...

    V20 vs S40 handle bars

The S40 bars and the V20 bars (current) are the same. Just shoot me and Marianne an email to support@cruzbike.com and we can get you a set. These are basically a Salsa Woodchipper II bar but 1cm wider than the largest Salsa version.

A sign of things to come?

Patience all - changes take time and manufacturing nowadays is like steering a heavy ship in the Covid infested waters - of collapsing-under-the-pressure manufacturing chains. Changes - even small ones - mean entire changes to the process - jigs, parts, sometimes supplies - all get mixed around...

Are there new V20s coming out?

I will put forth my belief that - for a STOCK bike that anyone can easily buy that does not need a ton of "special mods" - the V20 is THE fastest recumbent on the market.

    Speculating on bikes costs

Nobody is getting rich in the bike biz, y'all - with the exception of the giants at Trek etc - this is a labor of love. Small companies still have to eat and pay the bills. Just like bikes - ask yourself about anything you buy - from socks to pizza to a car - can you take the money it costs and...

    SofRider Bottom Bracket Replacement?

68mm English thread. The BB you use will be dependent on the cranks as well - and for a square taper it needs to be the right width. If you are keeping the same cranks make sure to match the spindle width (I cant recall what it was stock off hand) Robert

    grippy s40 (2020) tires

Most people run WAY too much pressure - in whatever tires they have. I have seen many where I was shocked they hadn't blown off the rims already. More is not better.
