Efneo Front Gearbox on a Q45?

It will make your boom a bit heavier, and so have a bit more swinging momentum. How does Efneo stay in orientation? I had a Peterson Metro 2 speed on another bike, and it relied on a stopper against the chain stay to prevent rotation.

    T50 seat advice needed

I'm liking the bullhorns pretty well. My hand position is like riding on the hoods on an upright bike, but also can have quite a bit of position variability. Not sure it's any better for holding on to, but I like not having the shifter hanging below the bar like my other setup. I only have one...

    T50 seat advice needed

Thanks! :) I ended up putting road 1 by 11 on my yellow one. Went with inverted bullhorns and Sensah brifters. So far, so good!

It's still the same? I thought you might have changed it. I'll go see. :)

    T50 seat advice needed

One day I will upgrade my seat. But for those with an original seat, I gained a few inches by simply reversing the seat mounting plate 180. That puts those little arms in the front, and lets the seat go back 4 or more inches. Extra benefit is that it lowers it too. Nice high BB! ;) I did have...

    I'm getting a Vendetta!!!

In that last pic, it looks like maybe the headrest could be mounted to the case lid instead of the seat. Then it would open easily.

    Where does this go?

Please do not put it on your skewer! :) It does look like the cable pulley for the front derailleur.

The narrow niche market for custom seat pad covers has arisen! ;)

Wondering about the fastest, while wide-range, drivetrain

Apparently the left brifter in the Sensah group can be overloaded by the extra force required for shifting poor-leverage front derailleurs. So peeps setting up a 2X drivetrain, be aware of that.

Wondering about the fastest, while wide-range, drivetrain

I have the Sensah brifters, or rather brifter. The left side is a dummy because I got their cyclocross setup. I am wondering if their road and cyclocross brifters are the same cable-pull. I think they probably are, so you may be able to just use the long cage derailleur from the SRX group. Most...

    Added Sensah Brifters

Because I did not want to replace the entire cable-housing run to accommodate the longer housing needed for my brifters, I did the housing in two parts. A short run along the bullhorns, and a junction into the the existing housing. V-brake noodles are available in multi-packs for cheap, so I...

    I'm getting a Vendetta!!!

I wonder if a threaded grommet for each side could be integrated into the design to hold everything rigid when the skewer was removed? It would still be rigid and light, but hold together and provide a hole for the axle. Might have to go to a through-axle design for it to really work though.

    Added Sensah Brifters

It is a Deckas narrow-wide, 104 BCD 44 tooth. Crankset is a Promax BMX crankset. The cassette is a SRAM XD 10-42. If I ever decide I need a higher gear, I will get a larger chainring and wider range XD cassette. Lots of inexpensive no-name options now.

    Added Sensah Brifters

Spent some time getting dialed in, but now they are quite nice. Not sure I like double-tap, but it does work well and looks very clean. Sensah is a company made up of former SRAM engineers. So the quality is good, and they are also inexpensive. This particular set was the brifters and...

    Added Sensah Brifters

So I just mounted the Sensah cyclocross 1 by 11 on my Emeljay'd T50. I am trying out the inverted bullhorn bar method for now. Getting used to double-tap shifting.

    Q45 wierd noise

That sounds like the seat pan/back attachment bolts to me. Speed is about right for pedaling. First one side, then the other. ;)

Wondering about the fastest, while wide-range, drivetrain

Sensah does have a long cage derailleur option for road now too. Just need to search a bit to find it usually. For instance...

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

A simple mod I did that made a big difference in getting nice fit was to reverse the mounting plate under the seat. Then I can slide the seat further back in the grooves of the plate. It did raise the nose of the seat a tad, so you need to make sure it is slid as far back as possible to minimize...
