    Adjusting to different seat angles

Thanks for the input both of you. Rick, to answer you question about when I switched from my S to the V: Yes, I feel lost I lost power (a lot of it), but I did not feel any soreness really. I just could not push nearly as hard. I could go just as fast even a little faster on my V, but of course...

    Adjusting to different seat angles

Bob, Rick, anyone else out there that regularly switches between different bikes/seat angles: Do you find it hard to "get in the zone" after changing from Vendetta to Silivio (or other), and then back again? Just wondering how much saddle time I should put in with my "incline pad" on my...

    New Vendetta V20

DF = Diamond Frame, but I think the official "Cruzbike" word for them now is "old fashioned bike" = OFB Abbott - You look like you are already riding a recumbent, so the seat angle should't be too much of a problem for you. If you aren't then it might take a little getting used to, but...

    Steering damper/stabilizer

Way to go Jon! Yes - My shoulders and arms used to be so sore for the first month of riding due to my "death grip". It's almost like if you don't think about it and just ride, it is relaxing, but the moment you start trying to concentrate on a specific aspect, then you tense up. I can't wait...

    New Vendetta V20

You got it Rick... Women are strange indeed! Diamond? ... Bike? ... Diamond? ... Bike? ... Ok - Diamond.. Really?? For me - Diamond sounds too much like Diamond Frame.. DF = Pain.. Ouch.. just saying. Well - I know what my answer is.. :) ... Just to make no mistake - I am weird to my wife too. I...

Cycle North Carolina Sept 26 - Oct 3

Yeah - wish it wasn't so expensive to fly with a bike these days, or definitely would bring mine on my next visit out West. One good thing to looking forward to retirement - Just ride around the country and meet everyone from the forum! Of course, when will that EVER happen! o_O

    Shine on you crazy diamond

Thanks Bob! I do keep working on my power, and I think it is easier indoors on the KICKR than outdoors due to the constant load you can put on your body. I think I'm up 20% from last fall. Just about halfway towards my goal FTP. Yeah, it's actually the crazies that run stop-lights and stop...

Climbing on FWD MBB - a few questions.

I have only noticed numb feet when riding in sub freezing weather, or when my shoes where too tight. Everyone is probably different in that regard and you just have to learn what you can tolerate. Here's my ride with my slow wheelset. :) But I like them cause they are color coordinated.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Good idea Rick. Per Assault on Mount Mitchell ride. I believe Jim and Maria Parker are going to be there as well as Ben Tomlin and hopefully Charlie Ollinger will also make it down. That might make a Gaggle of Vendetta's (5 minimum required for Gaggle I think!) :D

    Q-Rings, input please

I use them a could definitely tell a difference after I installed them. I did not have any power meter at the time to take scientific readings. I do have a set of the newer XQL Q-rings and will hopefully be getting around to testing them against the "regular" version on different slopes. At that...

    Shine on you crazy diamond

Great job Bob! A lot of work - but nice result. For me: I think I'll just keep riding indoors in virtual reality - then I don't have to worry about lights, or rain, or cars, or trucks.... :)

Climbing on FWD MBB - a few questions.

I have only been riding Cruzbike FWD MMB since last June, and this was also my first recumbent. I am saying this upfront, as I do not have a long history with them or will be able to compare the FWD MBB with a rear with drive. However I do live in the mountains of NC and have probably logged...

You can also buy the wife a Cruzbike first, and then after she is suitably impressed she will insist that you get one too.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Kline, My power testing comparing the output to pedals between the Silvio and Vendetta was on a 1/2 oval track. Silvio one day, Vendetta 3 days later. Similar weather wind and fitness level on my account Based on my experience with both bikes, I still like the Vendetta better. Per my data it...

Great info. I was just reading up on rwgps turn by turn availability. It looks really great from the youtube demos I saw. I will heaving to Calvins Challenge in 3 weeks and their 50 miles loops looks like it has about 44 turns. Lots of reports of folks getting lost last year and previous. I wish...
