Cyclo Tourist - Azub Trike Frame fails

This is not cruzbike related, but I thought it interresting. Especially relating to loaded touring. This was posted by a French cyclo tourist/blogger passing through Kenya (My Country). His loaded folding AZUb trike frame failed while on the highway. Pretty scary.

Looking for a S40/Q45/V20 Straight Boom Slider

Hello out there, if anyone recently upgraded to a curved slider and may be having the original Straight Slider that they don't need, kindly inbox me. It will be local USA shipping to Texas. I estimate that to be about $20, I'd like to replace one on my S40 which developed a crack at the...

Boom Cracked at Handlebar clamp While Climbing

Today, while I was climbing a hill on my S40, I heard a rhythmic clicking sound in sync with my left foot. I thought it was my wheel. Stopped and checked and wheel was fine. Spokes , derailluer, brake all was clear. I hopped back on and the sound momentarily disappeared but came back when I put...

Recumbent "Off-saddle" aka Bridging Plank: More power to ya!

Probably this technique has been discussed elsewhere but I thought it would be nice especially for "newish" cruzbike riders to know. I first discovered this technique several years ago while riding my home-made cruzbike clone purely by chance. However later on as I browsed through...

Optimizing Fit - Eliminate Recumbutt/Hot Foot

I think this should be a useful thread all together about how to fix recumbutt on S40 and other fit issues). Lets discuss. I've never ridden a V20 but Iam blessed to have a S40 gifted to me by some great friends here. I love my S40 and I ride it alot despite my initial fit and hotfoot...

    Affordable Power Meters

Hello good people! I haven't posted for a while, but Iam still doing well and enjoying my S40! I have consistently noticed that I climb faster on my upright roadbike than I do on my recumbent. Besides the difference in weight , maybe 3Kgs or so, it still puzzles me why such a big performance...

The G4 Bicycle , Potential MBB/Cruzbike Diversification Candidate?

I was watching the laidback bike report by Gary Solomon and they were discussing an interesting MBB style bicycle designed by Ron Thompson similar to the one formally built by the French, Kervelo, but this time using dual chain drive instead of a pinion drive. It can make a good mid/low racer...

Stopping water into Shifter cable ferrule

I had this problem on my homemade bike and I see the likelihood of the same problem on my S40. The shifter cable is vertical on the right arm of the fork and the exposed section allows water to adhere and make its way into the lower part of the cable and likely get trapped there. After some...

    Handheld Gimbal On a Recumbent

I modified my cheap shoulder strap for Gopro-Like Action Cameras to hold a Hohem iSteady Pro2, 3-Axis Gimbal. It has two tri-pod bolt holes which are useful to make this "hack" possible. This offcourse is not needed if you can afford a 360 camera :) No further stabilization in post production...

Did Someone say learning a Cruzbike/MBB is hard? Try a USS

Came across this video of someone trying to ride a USS(Understeat steered) RWD recumbent for the first time. Looks harder than learning an MBB to me :D I guess it all boils down to individual determination.

Lets post any nice techniques and ideas on how to stabilise your bike when parked or when walking it and stop the front end from flopping. I came across this one on youtube that uses a bungee cord, looks like a nice simple solution.
