Well, it looks like I might just be joining ya'll (Texas speak for "All of you") in the Vendetta club!!!
After having my Silvio 2.0 for about 9 or so months, I found a good deal on a used Vendetta Frameset!!!
Working out the final details, but I'm about to get the fastest color...

I can't wait for her to get here!

Now I have to decide whether to strip my Silvio and put all the components on my new to me Vendetta, or start fresh...

Oh, it's YELLOW!!!

Blessings,
DocS

Andrew, I guess we'll just have to see :)

I actually was considering having it Powdercoated before I put it together...
I'm thinking Red, White and Blue...
We'll have to see what the guy who does Powdercoating for me would charge...

Blessings,

Is it YELLOW with the LARGE diameter front stay???
This is the best looking Vendetta!!!!!!

Congratulations Doc.
I too made the transition from a Sivio 2.0 to a Vendetta - a red one in my case.
Not only is the V a sleeker, faster, lower to the ground speedster, it is also the most comfortable Cruzbike in the lineup.

I'd avoid powder coating and just get some quality paint. Most places will heat your frame just into annealing temps for powder coating unless they use a special powder and you request it. I don't know how hard to plane to ride your V or how much you weigh but I want my rear seat stays to be as strong as possible.

I don't mind PC my car or truck wheels because those tend to be so over built I can risk losing 10-20% strength, but I've never trusted it to do any of my racing motorcycle wheels or frames.

I really do like the yellow color on it, so I'll probably just leave it as is...

Never really thought about the heating issue. Thanks for pointing that out Rojo!

That was Jason's point.
That the heating process that allows the Powdercoat to stick may cause weakness.

My "New to me" Vendetta will arrive tomorrow!!!

Can't wait to get her together and out riding!

A local friend who sold her S40 to buy a Vendetta suggested that I just build the Vendetta up and keep the Silvio 2.0 for more leisurely group rides in the hilly area. I don't think my wife would be happy...

We already have my Silvio, a Catrike 700, another project trike, a Tandem Bike, her Catrike Villager and now a Vendetta. :)

Blessings,
DocS

n+1 n+1 n+1!!!

tell you wife you are keeping the s for her but you dont want to pressure her into mbbfwd.
or tell her it for guests and you are just trying to be polite and not embarass her.
and trikes do not count against the bike count. those are different types of locomotion. as are velos, and uprights.

Hey, I'm hoping to talk Doc into selling me his Silvio frame.

Stop trying to convince him to keep it! Ha ha.

I know my wife would never stand for that many bikes, and she would definitely count the trikes as in the N+1 bike group.

then you will have to sell your t.

i have try and keep my answers honest but precise. my answer tries to be location and type specific. like, "well, here at home we only have one delta trike" note: "here at home" does not include things at my shop or my office or other locations or states. and "delta trike" does not include tadpole trikes or bicycles. and then some times vague, like "oh i have had that one for a while." which would mean i got it two years ago, or it could mean i just unloaded it from my truck....as the need may be....
