Zen MBB Master
I must be getting senile. On my training ride today, I remembered something very key that I learned about riding recumbents long distances. Now, I forgot. Anyway. There are a ton of experienced riders on Cruz bikes. Don't be afraid to ask, you will get lots of very good ideas here to experiment from people who have real experience.

Jason wrote something recently about basically not accepting limits, this applies totally to adapting to recumbents. Cruz did a 1 year money back guarantee a few years ago. If a rider could not equal their best time over a route within one year or exclusively riding the Cruz, they would refund the money. Not sayin it will take you a year. Most seem to equilibrate in less than 6 months. Took me closer to 2 full years. If you don't give up, you will get better and better on the bent. Hills that I could barely make it up initially, I can start up from a standstill now. Sometimes, I shake my head how mediocre I was initially. Just keep at it.
