I use the rubber bands threaded through drilled holes. Today I moved the holder up on the helmet to make the Varia perpendicular to the ground. No interference with the botttles, but I’m going to move the bottle gages down a couple inches anyway. The bottle tops are in the air stream coming over my shoulders. How does the Varia mounted on your helmet work? Any problems with it when you move your head side to side?
Contact Cruzbike, they’ll probably replace it.Curious if anyone else has had the frame crack? When I was adjusting my headrest the other day, I noticed that the frame on my Race Cage had cracked (Have no idea how long this has been the case as the other three screws held it fine). Luckily the tubes are hollow so a carefully bent steel rod and a generous use of JB Weld has repaired it so just interested if this has happened to anyone else.
I've gone through 2 race cages. Both frames broke in the same spot as yours. The 2nd one broke on both sides - 2 breaks.Curious if anyone else has had the frame crack? Mine cracked due to user error. I carry my S40 in my Honda Fit. It can be a tight squeeze. After a ride when I was tired, I packed the bike in the car and decided the hatchback WAS going to close, dammit!Curious if anyone else has had the frame crack? It closed all right, but when I got home I heard an unexpected jingling coming from the cage. D’oh!!
I suspected there would be a lot of stress on the lower tubes and there’s clearly a risk of failure with two posts here and Cruzbike’s reinforcement plate. So I decided to augment the strength with rack struts, nuts, and P-clamps.the frame on my Race Cage had cracked
