THE NEW Q IS COMING

Haul everything you need: Bosses.

Insiders? Everyone has got to see this! "8 bosses on each side and 1 in the middle under the down tube."

And still with space for a moose pack.

Small quibble: In my unhumble opinion and experience if you are going to install a front fender then the fender needs to protect the rider and all bike components, that is it must be a full fender. The one pictured would end up dirtying the chain, chainring, bottom bracket and feet and probably dripping on the cassette and disc brake. (Tip for those new to the cruzbike tribe I would suggest doing all size adjustments and getting used to riding in good conditions before mounting a fenders so that all adjustments are close and you avoid mounting an having to adjust fenders too.)

Very good point! This is absolutely correct. After some experimenting, I combined two fenders to make one complete one.

would a set of hair brushes just touching the top and sides of the tyre, near the rear of the fender where the side stays attach, stop the water going any further around the tyre, and drop away from cassettes and derailleurs?

If riding on gravel roads, clearances would need to be increased, to minimise dirt build up on the brushes.
A Vee shaped steel dirt scraper, that pushes the mud off to each side, could be installed to protect the brushes, but strong side stays and a strong mudguard would be required to resist the possible high mud loads if Clay is ridden over!

what is that single threaded insert under the frame meant for? I have one on my S40 as well and I'm puzzled?

As for 700C, I'd be a bit nervous - I had an ICE B2 originally with 26" wheels and upped those to narrower 700Cs, made getting a foot down tricky for those of us non-giraffe proportioned

I'm so far a bit perplexed why there's no "CRUZBIKE" on the sides. I see the logo in two places up on the front. Maybe the first few bikes don't have it but will be revealed later?

Hey @super slim my experience says that your last thought says it all. Stuff builds up easily so clearance is needed. The closer stuff is the more easily the debris builds up to where it can cause rubbing or worse - jamming of tire - baaaad.

@ElyDave,
Is it for a steering damper? Is it for a crash bar? I don't know but it is a good question?

Good seat height is important, too high is awkward and so is too low.

Maybe the confusion of various uses of cruzbike, cruise bike, cruiser bike, etc. is being replaced with logo. Maybe we are headed for a name change or rebranding?

I must be of giraffe proportions since I currently ride a conversion kit with 700c and have no problem with getting a foot down. The ride height puts my head higher than the roof line of most cars. This is something that I would really want to retain.

I'm fairly average height at 5'9"/1.75m, but proportionally shorter in the legs, so that little difference between 26" and 700 just gives that bit of confidence.

This bike is made to haul every thing for touring plus average riders, say, 175 lb. I think the bike weighs 15 Kg is about right.

I already have a pretty good idea for a way to drop the seat about 2 inches, it looks like. This is a very tempting bike, especially if it can also handle 700c wheels.

Ultimately, I want this front end on a T50 frame! :)

Great price in the new Q45! I only wish that it came in red (scarlet) and gray. :emoji_football:

Bah! Where is that report button?! ;)

The pricing isn’t bad. I was hoping it would be just a bit less, but likely a fair price. I am looking forward to see the packing capability with hopefully minimal work.

Will the Q45 come with three chainstay length options as the Vendetta does???

Will there be an exchange system for chain-stays, so the correct length can be found without buying a second or third chainstay?
