What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

How dare you guys abd gals let my thread die, let's get more people in here modifying and upgrading their cruzbikes.

Im going to bet i have the first cruzbike rolling on berd spokes. I'd if you dont think they're areo enough, dont worry, ill be equipping this wheel with my 160 gram carbon disc wheel covers. This should get me maxareo at 30mm tire size and max comfort from the berd spokes.

Dont worry ill post more photos in a few weeks and maybe a build video.

A little late to the party my friend. My V20 has been rolling on Berds for 2 years now.

I opted for Velocity Quill aluminum rubber rim to get more lateral stiffness. Have had some issues on carbon rims if they are not stiff. I recommend Berds own wheelsets. Perfect pairing of rims and spokes.

The ride quality is sublime. You will love them with the right rim.

Will those be free to move, so they don't block the spokes from working? and not rub on (through) the textiles?
They'd float right next to the spokes at the hub interface but even if they touched there would be no pressure. The berd spokes are also pretty resilient to friction if bet the spokes would wear a hole in the 0.004" carbon first.

Today im cutting custom decals for my front wheel on my vinyl cutting machine. Ill need to figure out a different decal layout for the disc rear wheel because the dusc covers abd mounting tape would cover this setup.

Finished first stage of the build, so the bike is technically complete but it's got a little ways to go before she's a fully capable Rojo Racing machine. Good news is I have all the video footage to start editing a dream build video.

Its weird how the frame shows up so much more red than orange in the photos. Weight as it sits is 25.0 lbs

Nice! Love the ”ludicrous speed” sticker ;-)

Oh and wrt the color, yeah. It sure fooled me when I was building mine. I ordered some parts “to match“ before the frame set arrived including some anodized red brakes. Oops.

Oh well, they work very well so there’s that.

Did you intend to spell “ludicrous” or intentionally leave out the “R”, or perhaps refer to the song Ludicous Figure.
Or maybe like a “No ragrets” tattoo.
damn it, this is what happens when you're racing through a build at ludicrous speeds, errors will be made. At least I can just cut a new sticker myself.

Not “today” but I’ve been doing a bunch of stuff to my S40 and V20c lately:

Painted the bottle cage mounts I fabricated for the S40:

Installed the carbon seat on the S40:

Used a wolftooth adapter to move the boom mounted bottle cage:

And ordered some 42cm Salsa Woodchipper bars for both.

It's nice your shoes and whatever that electronic thing is to the bottom left is match the wheel.
Looks like one fast machine. Tidy build.
I did actually ride my S40 today. Just been so busy lately (I should "work less ride more"). And my extensive plans are to remove my wahoo mount I no longer use. I think I'll do it right now.

I gotta get off my butt and replace the pulley wheels on my AXS rear derailleur. The ones I have still go round and round, but I already bought the replacement parts and the package is taking up space in my little basket.

Out of habit I previously changed the chain on my T1 and V20 every year regardless of mileage or stretch. I averaged 1000km/month on my T1 for two years and only used WD40 so that mileage was my reference point for my V20 when I got it. To keep it short, I have been running the same chain for almost 2 years wiping it after each ride. I use Silca Super Secret Synergetic applied at the beginning of each month, as well 2 or 3 times a month using a fairly heavy coat of WD40 to spray off the gunk between each link and a quick wipe. I have been measuring the chain stretch each month, and it is still not at .75 yet. Last year I logged 7517km on the river, didn't log a few 100km rides and this year so far I have 6845km, so I am going to hit at least 15,000km by year's end for my current chain. The main reason for this I think is how clean and dust free the bike path is, with not riding in the rain being the next biggest factor. A 3rd is that with the V20 being a FWD bike the chain isn't getting pelted by dirt kicked up by the tire.

On what is the nicest day of the month so far I was planning to go for a 3-4 hour ride but on the way to the river my right AXS Wireless blip that I just DIYed a battery change flew off and disappeared. I backtracked over the area several times to see if I could find it but the only place it could have went is down into 1 of the several drain grates. So, I rode back home and put the bars with the AXS brifters back on my V20 and installed new brake cables. The new setup feels more comfortable, and the mirror position is a bit better as well. However, my hands are now higher than before and my view is a bit more blocked than I am used to.
