Hi all. Today was my first day mounting my Silvio v 30 onto my Kickr and onto Zwift. As a beta user of Zwift, I am delighted to find this Forum thread and join the Cruzbikers on Zwift. Happy to answer questions for the Zwift newbies and look forward to learning from y'all about racing and going long on my Silvio.
Welcome. That puppy that will shortly be on your heels is Hardy. Don't worry he's harmless his bike puts him up to it :emoji_laughing:.

Edit: I am psychic but 10seconds slow

Ok for those of you without a trainer who want to join a race for the purpose of watching you can but you have to do it a certain way.

These are the windows PC instructions. Sign up for free 7 day trial, and download the Zwift program. When you start the program it'll take you to a pairing screen to pair your trainer devices. At the bottom of this page will be an option for SKIP or just watch, make sure to select SKIP. This will take you to another screen with a big RIDE button in orange at the bottom, and the top right will have all the upcoming events with how many mins till each starts. Now just select the event you want to watch and if it has ABCD options at the bottom make sure to click the letter of the group you want to watch. Now click the RIDE button and it'll take you to the zwift open world general start area. Next you'll see on the bottom left a blue join ride button with a countdown, click that to be taken to the starting corral. when the event starts the screen will change from the corral view back to the ride view and the right side of the screen will have a box with all the participents names. your going to want to click on any of those names when the event starts so you camera is taken with the group. You can now click different names in that right box to jump to each rider and using the number pad on your keyboard you can switch views as well.

If anyone would like to watch I'll be joining the 9am PST Zwift Race which is an E event which means there are no seperate cats, it'll have everyone from A's to D's all together. My code name in game will appear as "..BWAHAHA"

So, under what name do I find you to follow you? I am J Ritter

We've also go a new Zwifter local to me. SteveK just got a V20 and has been doing Traditional Base Training while adapting to the V20; he's a Zwiftaholic and strong like bull. Finally can lay down some fast miles in the summer with another v20. He's not a forum posting guy or not yet; but I'll get his Zwift name posted once he's finish with the erg training; he'll definitely be up for group rides.

:lol yup there a place to ride for everyone. Let's see, if your holding 2.5 and I'm holding 4.2 in my races that means I need to kick my 68kg(150lbs) weight to 115kg(254lbs). Going to be interesting how that's going to change my climbing speed vs my flat land speeds since they say pure watts matter more on the flats. At the very least I'm going to get to look like a hulking beast when zwift over inflates my upper body with the added weight :D

Welcome Jeffrey - You will kick *** on Zwift with your Silvio. Since aero doesn't matter you will be in a more upright and comfortable position for watching the race with the added benefit that you have a more open hip angle and can produce more power (I could always produce more power on my Silvio (15-20%) than on my Vendetta - it's just not as aero out in the real world so even with 20% less power the Vendetta is faster.
Have fun and be safe - i.e. don't fall off the bike when trying to muscle your way up the mountain trying to push 1500 watts!

Thanks for the welcome and I will keep an eye out for SteveK. Just did two hour 38.4 miles on Zwift with the Silvio on Kickr. Just felt awesome. Seems the fit is dialed in just right.

Just curious--you holding 4.2 while on your Cruz/Kickr or another configuration? That's impressive for sure. Well done.

V20 on a Tacx Neo. My power outputs don't change when going between the cruz and DF. Maybe I loose a bit of sprint on the V20 compared to the DF but that's hard to say because I almost never get out of the saddle and sprint on the DF because I hate sprinting.

I've worked my fingers to the bone and only got boney fingers trying to get two measly riders to gang up on Rojo and race him up watopia. Geez Louize! We're going to put over a hundred pound sack of potato's on the back of his bike. That's like adding Larry on the back for him to pull up. Where's the Cruzbike sense of humor? Two riders, I know you're out there.

Probably have to set a date and time to get anyone to commit. Since the pace will be slower then my normal pace we can do the mountain 8 route which is most of watopia in one direction with one accent to the radio tower. I'm free most weekday evenings from 5pm-9pm Pst. On the weekend I'm will to start as early as 5amPst. So start narrowing down a date.

Tomorrow I'm finally doing the Christmas thing with the family, yes I know it's a bit late, so maybe Wed or Thur evening. The discord phone app is a little cluttered but not that hard, you'll probably want mount the phone to your bars(tape works fine) and use any kind of headphone so you can hear over your fan.

Sorry guys - My free trial expired with Zwift and I really have to watch my monthly outlay right now (Already got rid of TP paid version and am only on Strava Premium with a free promotion right now. :( )
Also, I am really trying to stick with the Sebring training plan that Bob put together - so if I do ride on Zwift my wattage and speed are going to be ERG controlled and tied to a workout - so I would not be able to stay with any group.
I'm sure more people will come forward and start riding Zwift with you guys. :)

Cruzers (is that a term?), I look forward to keeping up with y'all on this type of climb, but am probably a few months away from managing 4.0+ watts for any sustained period. But I was really pumped to find this thread and look forward to joining you on Zwift and IRL. I hoped to be strong enough to try Sebring this year, but its unlikely. If I can get in a few long rides on the Silvio (my first bent), I may still try to get down to start and finish the century and see the rest of the action and help out where needed. Anyone needing crew support, etc., let me know.

ugh umm-- I couldn't maintain 4 watts if you gave me three of them. Thats why Jason is going to have to carry Larry up the hill on the back of his bike. If you join in, with Tiger that gives us a roster. I can feel this happening!
Trplay, I am willing to try anything but make no apologies at this stage if I drop off the back early. Maybe I will try some climbing today (on Zwift) and see how the legs respond. Its been just over two years since my crash (see attached pic on my FB page) and I am only now beginning to rebuild athletic sensations (truly grateful that I discovered Cruzbike!). https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...86825322.1073741838.1308108901&type=3&theater

Well it's as simple as riding with the slowest rider at their pace or in my case adding enough weight so I have no choice but to ride at the slowest riders pace. If your the slowest in the group that day then the others can ether chose to go slower or add weight.

I encourage you to come. You wont regret it. It is likely to be the largest group of Cruzbikes ever seen before in the world! What Cruzbiker would not want to be a part of that if at all possible!

So, in setting up my Silvio onto my Kickr (and also when originally assembling the bike on delivery), I had quite the time getting the chain stay, fork, and derailleur hanger to line up and get assembled. Any hints on pulling the front wheel and/or removing from the Kickr and switching back to the other will be welcomed. Nice day to ride here in NC but reluctant to face what I did previously in moving off the Kickr. Thanks folks.

Quickest fix is to just ty-wrap the fork and chainstay together.
Some have been know to epoxy them - but the tied wraps work pretty well, are cheap and easy to take off if needed.
