    Forum Signup Issues

I have always had trouble posting photos here. It says my photos are too large even tho I shrink them way down. The only work around I have found is to first post them on FaceBook and then copy and paste them into Cruzbike Forum. The downside of this method is the photos disappear from CB awhile...

    100mm extension

I put a 100mm extension on my Silvio 1.0 and it helped, comfort wise, immensely. I never felt I needed one on my first Cruzbike the Silvio 2.0 but then you may be taller than me.

Recent Trade-in ONLY 10 MILES ON BIKE Ready for a New Home

A friend of mine just purchased this bike. Tribe say hello to Doby Buesse from Orlando, FL. Doby and I go way back to around 1986 when we met on a mt bike ride in the Ocala National Forest. We were both riding big, heavy Ross mt bikes at the time. I got invited up to the Buesse family cabin in...

    New Cruzbike Silvio 2.0 owner

DocS I started out with the same bike you have - a Silvio 2.0 - purchased new 6 years ago (see my profile pic). 3 years ago I made the switch to a Vendetta and discovered substantial performance gains. I feared the slightly more laid back position of the V (22 degree on the V vs 27 deg on the S)...

    I think I want a V20....

You are bound to be a bit wiggly and nervous at first on the Cruzbike - at least I was on the Silvio 2.o I started out with. I wouldn't recommend going on group rides right away until you can confidently ride a straight line. There is upper body involvement on the Cruzbike which is different...

    New Cruzbike Silvio 2.0 owner

Hi Doc, I started out with a new Silvio 2.0 6 years ago. I knew next to nothing about Cruzbikes and had never been on one. I took the leap after hearing about Maria's awesome win at the 2013 Race Across America (RAAM). The Silvio is going to feel very odd at first. The moving bottom bracket and...

    Each one teach one

I am interested in other tribe member's experiences with introducing cyclists to the Cruzbike. Have you managed to convert any diamond frame or recumbent rider to the FWD, MBB platform? I have had very limited success in this area. Some riders may show a bit of curiosity in my bike but don't...

Love to get a Vendetta but?

What Joy said... I'll be 74 soon and I love fast cruising, in the high teens, low to mid 20's, on my Vendetta. It's especially fun if I have a road biker behind me trying to hang on - watching them in my mirror as they get as low as they can on the drops in order to cut down the wind resistance. :D

Love to get a Vendetta but?

My Vendetta is faster than any of my previous recumbents - Burley Django, Rans Stratus XP and Lightning P-38.

Hit a nerve with this guy on youtube comments

As I say to people who cast a skeptical eye at my Vendetta "There is no downside to fast AND comfortable".

    Buying a Silvio 1.0

I took my Silvio 1.0 out for an overnight, non supported camping trip to Willamette Mission state park which is 20 miles north of Salem, OR. I have never done an overnighter on any of my Cruzbikes so this is a first. I had a rear rack that I modified some to fit as close as possible to the seat...

    S40 Handle Bar Question

I've said this before and it might be of help. For better grip on the bars try a pair of light weight, full fingered cycling gloves. I like the kind without the gel padding.

    Buying a Silvio 1.0

I have a 1.0 that I purchased slightly used about 3 years ago. It's a pretty good little bike. I just had it out yesterday for a 40 miler and did a 55 mile ride on it a last week. I have it set up with fenders so I call it my foul weather and social bike. It is not as comfortable or fast as my...

    Chain coming off chainring

Had this happen on my Freerider. I took a couple of links out of the chain and that stopped it.

    Question for the older riders

My Vendetta has made me a faster rider at age 73 than I was 30 years ago on my Italian road bike.

    Newbie Questions

Rick, I forgot to mention that I find that wearing full finger cycling gloves helps maintain my grip on the bars. During the summer I wear light weight ones with no extra padding.

    Newbie Questions

That's interesting chicorider. Robert Holler told me to treat the handlebars as if one were doing isometric exercises although I can see how these two pieces of advice can be complimentary though I would substitute green bananas for ripe ones :) I took it to mean to have a firm but not overly...
