No.4- generational change not just a step up

Looks fast. You can save more watts by covering more with the wheel hoods. Probably 20 watts saved. I was impressed with a product that was called aerofender https://thegadgetflow.com/portfolio/bike-wheel-fairings/

Definetely a coffee read... updating the motor

I do know of an infrared nasal suppositories (removable of course) which are supposed to inhibit the nasal membrane from inflaming? Does it work?

6 month cruz bike visa. I love it. I wonder how much I would have to pay for that?

Definetely a coffee read... updating the motor

So every day is a revelation , well it can be. There is me wanting desperately to maximise my fitness without having to buy an in-house trainer and matching TV. Only to find out that antihistamines can effect training. Unfortunately like so many others I suffer with allergies and this spring...

My Very First Recumbent is a V20

Word of caution. Straight arms causes pulled tendons. Going up hills ... Best just to sit back and spin. I used bull horns for a few years. I had/have the 3m carbon aero.

    12/13 speed systems aero

What is it with chinese ... they never want to admit they are wong. Anyways... the supplier will send me the "thin" version of the chainring that will fit the sram axs 12 speed flat top chain. So I have to relink this chain as the vendetta needs more links. I wonder if the standard link tool...

Those new roval wheels with dt swiss 370 hubs (with 16 engagements) for just over 1100 looks so so tempting

Tami is a cool name too. Dare I say it ... a cool cat that's ready to scalp. Yep welcome to the tribe. That bike I am always tinkering with trying to save more watts on my 8th year of having her. It's more than a bike but a way of life. Profound Pro-found

The last photo for a while. The big shimano 105 shifter has just changed into a mini button. Amazing magic. I haven't cut the zip tie yet. Lost a whole lot of drag and weight thanks to Paul Gallagher at https://cell-cycling.com

As a cautionary note. The LTwoo ceramic pulleys that I have on the shimano derailleur might be a little off so I will replace just the pulleys and not the gate.

    12/13 speed systems aero

I don't give up easily. Thanks for the kind words. The company I ordered from gave me the wrong chainring as its 11 speed chainring compatible. The xshifter software on android has a few problems but I tried a different way and it worked. So just have to wait a couple of weeks for a new chainring.

So... and now the bad news... The minipod shifter controls doesn't step through the cassette properly. And even worse the stone 12 speed chainring doesn't seem to be compatible with the sram flat top 12 speed chain.

The 11 speed shimano ultegra derailleur hits its end stops ok... possibly even room for 13 sprockets. The xshifter is in position A+ as its in the wind shadow. I will cable up across the chainstay in order to keep drag down to a minimum. I have put inverted brake levers on the handlebars. As...

    12/13 speed systems aero

So here is something weird, really weird. I received an idea of trying the old enhanced shimano ultegra 11 speed rear derailleur (it has a long gate with ultra big and little ceramic pulleys). The pulleys oddly enough work with the sram 12 speed flat top chain. I haven't tried yet adjusting the...

    12/13 speed systems aero

 emmm let's burn the bridge. No way back but forward. Looks rather clean don't you think? So now for that cheapo derailleur It certainly looks the part but the pulleys are well naff and there is too much play on the hanger for my liking. After aligning ... the alignment pulley...

So the crank update: I didn't go to the LBS , instead I went to the local hardware store and bought a set of torq keys for €1.30. So you can see the instant weight loss... bye bye spider and 2 chainrings. Hello new aero crank See that I used threadlock when putting the mount bolts...

    12/13 speed systems aero

Point taken and very valid. The YRET cassette is manufactured in blocks with some single gears for the smaller sprockets. I will ask the seller if I can buy some spacers so I can play with the setup.

    12/13 speed systems aero

Holy Molly... I need to weigh it but I have a bag of shimano 105 shifters, dérailleurs and chain that weigh a considerable amount. The 12 speed cassette fits with a little spare space. The rival cranks are off and cleaned. Torque screws examined and it will be down to the LBS tomorrow to get the...

    12/13 speed systems aero

I reckon this is lighter than a 11 speed shimano di2 and more aero for a lot less and easier to install ... anyways let's see how I get on
