V20c tire clearance and wheel sizes

I got 32mm Conti's that measure 36mm mounted on the rim on the back of the V20c. There's about 4mm of clearance and they are big enough to make a moose pack not fit.

Will 170 mm crank arm fit the frame of V20c?

Some skinny hipped frenchman in the 50's. Regression to the mean has made that now the rarity not the norm

Will 170 mm crank arm fit the frame of V20c?

The trend towards short cranks is to prevent knee bend. With the boom design, you have to play with the Boom total length and boom forward-backward positioning. In the end you have to manage these variables: 1) Your feet have to reach the full extension of the pedal 2) Your knees have to not...

    SRAM eTap and Availability

Hey Kurt, You'll want to read my upcoming diary posts. The bikes are built, and we completed the test run this weekend; the only hold-up writing all the articles is all the photo editing because the lightbox I have these days sucks. I don't think you could get me back on a 2x Here's the sneak...

    Paris-Brest-Paris 2023?

Yeah, I was thinking we need to side photos of you on the bike. My initial thought was: 1. You have a long torso with equal or short legs, so the boom is short 2. Long cranks that look like 170? in the photo, maybe? Forcing boom shorter 3. Boom's all the way in; missed that. ( you can count...

Are V2 and V20 parts available?

Right now these are some of the cheapest to test in aluminum: https://whiskyparts.co/handlebars/no.7-6f-drop-bar#/ $79 online. https://whiskyparts.co/articles/drop-bar-selection-guide#/ The 6f has very little flare and a lot of drop The 12f has more flare and a little less drop The more...

    Paris-Brest-Paris 2023?

Adding to what Derek said based on that photo: 1. Push your head rest back about 15mm 2. Push your entire boom forward until you can make your legs hit the handlebars when you try, but it doesn't happen when pedaling normally. When you get this right, you'll know it. If that doesn't work, you...

    Today was the day

That's great; I do remember well for 3 weeks learning to ride on a Silvio 2.0 going what have I done what have I done? The learning instructions have come a long way over time. The number 1 tip, above all else when learning to ride, is to get you back off the seat when turning; the first...

Are V2 and V20 parts available?

Hey Kurt, you should post a photo of yourself on that bike; it looks like your boom is too far back by about 2-3 inches; I'm guessing that's because you have big hands, and the curve of the stock handlebars is to tight to get your hands into the curve.... leading to that super high handlebar...

Please Don't Hit Me (Unicorn) DesignShine DS-500 Lighting bundle

So you do a lot of solo riding out in the middle of nowhere and want that approaching car driver to look up from their cell phone so they see you. If that sounds familiar, I have your back, or instead, Design Shine does. First, these are probably the hardest-to-find lights on the planet; you...

    Efneo gearbox

@bentinitalia I have a dual drive with about 200 miles on it that I just took off a Q20 (my father's before he got too sick to ride). I considered building a bike Friday with it, but it sounds like it would be better on your S40. $ 200+ shipping if you want it. It's currently laced with...

    Looking for Handlebar Recommendations

6ft you are going to want 44mm/46mm wide bars with a 114mm drop. Traditional style not compact. I would recommend looking at whiskybars the 6f road bars with the deeper drop. If you go with the 12f you get more flare but less drop which means a more cramped hand position coming up from under...

    Dbl chainring

Yeah long term, the only schlumpf I was happy with was the highspeed drive that gave 1:1 in low and 2.5x1 in high, and in high, you didn't notice the losses. Looking at your ratio's I think you'd get the most out of a 44 or 46 on the front and a 9x50 on the back..... Ditch the front derailleur...

    Cycle-Con 2023 September 15th thru 17th discussion

For the one I went to in Cleveland, we had enough Cruzbike people and bikes to teach people using the 8-step protocol at the back half of the parking lot, which was quite effective. IIRC correctly, several of the demo bikes went home with new customers.
