    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

On the bike it's pure genius. I've just come back from the Camino de Santiago and I've had such a bad back I haven't ridden it yet! Also in the news Paul is thinking rather negatively about dual control xshifter ... having two xshifters on the vendetta doesn't interest me. (Remember if you...

    Upgrading v20 questions.

Splash of cash :emoji_droplet::emoji_droplet::emoji_droplet: I've been thinking the same but because it's so dry and I don't use the brakes so much I haven't gone ahead with it. Let us know how it goes.

    Tubeless tires anyone?

Nothing's perfect. I use this setup on one of my bikes and if I use stan's then I sometimes find the valve gets weaker. Even so it's a whole lot easier to replace the valve. Even so the way I ride I find once you have a tubeless wheel that's secured ... I have fewer punctures and even if I do I...

    Tubeless tires anyone?

Centering the chi worked. I replaced the valve. I noticed as I was doing it that the dime piece of inner tube that I had centered on the valve had ruptured as I had tightened the valve up too much. It’s a skillfull art to get these tubeless wheels blown up.

    Working back into it

I've been out of the picture too. Yes it would be great to train for Sebring again. I got carried away on one of my bike creations but now the latest v20 incarnation adaptation has been configured... I just need to get on it and ride it. It's hill climbing season as well. Iqsquared should be...

Should I take clipless pedals off?

If I find myself dodging people or obstacles; I keep one foot clipped in and use the other as a counterbalance. Its saved me many times. Slow speed overbalancing and falls you get when you first use clipless pedals albeit like me on a mountain bike. Falling from a cruzbike is easier than falling...

    Tubeless tires anyone?

Very expensive valve and tape. I asked the rim manufacturer to send me the tape and valve and customs here in Spain charged me €45 for the parcel from USA as the 2 valves and tape were sent in a box. I'm livid. I'm going to try and channel my chi.

    Tubeless tires anyone?

Totally pissed. I've tried almost everything to seal a valve. I even filled the bath checking out the rim underwater and somehow the water gets in. The beads stay on and it never drops below 60psi .... I tried tightening with pliers and the valve has been skewered onto a piece of inner tube ...

    Hurricane Florence passing through

With respect to that oak... if you got a descent 4x4 with a toe rope you could quite easily re-pot that oak. I once was in a storm damaged forest and it was was suggested by a forester not to get too close to an uprooted tree as the wind, if blowing from the opposite direction, could resit the tree.

    Hurricane Florence passing through

Guess no news is good news. That was historical. Guess it’s a case of mopping up and redecorating?

    2019 S40 coming soon!

There is a new alloy that frame makers are using that's super magnesium. Why not have a limited edition out using the same moulds. Just swap the aluminium alloy to super magnesium???? Apparently it's light and has the strength of carbon and it's durable ????

    Tales of a recumbent newb

There isn't much difference between fear and excitement. I always respect the cruzbike. Some days I say "hell yehhhh!" And have a blast and on other days drag the brakes. Usually depending on the crosswind. Remember 30mph is 10feet per second so you don't have much road to play with if you need...

    Hurricane Florence passing through

I second that for sure. Let's try and use it as a passing transition... usually when something big is about to happen in my life like a complete change I dream that I am at the bottom of an enormous tidal wave. Not surprisingly I always wake up to a new experience. It's an historical event...

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

I've been tilting my saddle on a DF recently and lowering the bars. Getting more power now. Like most sports ... it's technique and tinkering with marginal gains that makes it all rewarding. Not quite as fast as these guys yet...

    Crash number 2

Pleased you can live to tell the tale. I remember practicing going around dusty gritty corners too fast. Similar story with the ditch but fortunately I had a chain mail fence that took my impact so I didn't even fall off. Muddy ditches are not so good for diamond frame bikes. Front wheel gets...

    Road bike vs. recumbent comparison

I've been reading recently about tricks pro riders use. They generally use a size smaller frame than what the weekend warrior rides with a longer stem this allows them to get really tucked down low in an excruciating position for 5 hours riding. It also allows their ride to be lighter ... so...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

This stuff is absolute genius ... What's that? I made it with black silicon caulk and corn starch. It's to stick in the bar ends and makes it aero and comfortable. If you mix with a lot of corn starch so it doesn't stick to your hands; it sets hard. I will try it out when the storm...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Probably last post from me on xshifter. Last night I resurrected my old iPhone. Not doing anything for 6 months it decided to behave dead like. Fortunately after a couple of hours it read 1% and this morning perfect. After reading BrianA's post it was easier to setup xshifter as I have the...

One other thing with xshifter. Doesn't work for android at the moment but there has to be a fix in the pipeline soon
